"Well hurry up! You are moving slower than a hutt!" Jae heard Valerie scold.
"Yeah, yeah." She replied.
Valerie was quickly rushing ahead with Jav attempting to keep up and Jae power walking through the streets with pride. Valerie stopped for a minute to wait for her friend. They where quickly trying to rush through the market place- there where people everywhere- fine dressed people in Nubian garments. She saw the tall elegant buildings lining the streets and the beautiful river going through the city. Valerie even took the time to notice the serene backdrop of the hills lining the horizon.
"Well." An impatient voice snapped her out of her phase.
"Huh? Oh yes...." She stuttered.
"Master, I thought we where rushing to find the profile of Techla Javros. Not admiring the scenery." Jae argued. Valerie couldn't believe that her padawan was scolding her. That was something her master would do!
"Well, if we didn't have to wait for you....." Valerie attempted to rebute, but failed... Miserably.
"We have a job to do. Let's get it done." Jae said with an authorative tone which caused Valerie to wonder if she was really in charge here.
"Umm... Look there's the building where they keep all the holo records...." Jav blurted out.
"See? Where here! No need to fret. My dear padawan." Valerie said sarcastically as she was pushed aside by an arrogant Jae ordo.
Jav and Valerie quickly walked after Jae- who by this stage had nearly knocked over 19 people in the packed streets. Valerie, of course had to say sorry to every one of them.
When they finally got to the entrance, Valerie quickly grabbed Jae's shoulder, beckoning her to follow her lead.
The building was very large and towered high above them. It's exterior was decorated with ornate patterns and vines that grew from the earth, it was painted neutral tones that blended perfectly with the horizon. At the front of the building was a large paved courtyard- this must have been the city center.
When they got inside- Valerie at the lead, they where greeted by a large hall with people moving in all directions. They could see the arch entrance that lead to the archives just ahead of them, they just had to get through all the people. Valerie quickly took a step towards the arch, making sure Jav and Jae where still behind her began walking towards the arch, weary of everyone around her they eventually made it.
On the other side of the arch they found themselves inside the city archives. The walls where covered from the bottom of the walls to the top with large bookshelves that held blue holo records. There where also many large book cases lined in the middle of the room. At the front of the hall was a long wooded desk that was covered in holo records that had been removed for sorting. There where some tables behind it that had computers inlaid into the desks.
At the front desk though there was an old man in a uniform that was staring at Jae and Jav.
"Mandalorians..." He mumbled under his breath.
Valerie pulled up the courage to approach the man.
"We need to find some information on Techla Jamari. She grew up here..." Valerie stated.
"My assistant will help you." The old man replied as he walked off. Suddenly from out of nowhere a chirpy young twilek girl came through the doors.
"How can I help you?" She asked happily.
"Oh my goodness...." Jae mumbled in annoyance.
"Um, we are looking for a record on someone named... Someone...." Jav tried to explain.
