Unti-unti at dahan-dahan ang ginawa kong paglingon, my heart skips a beat when I met his eyes again after eight years.
Yung nararamdaman ko parang binuhusan ng isang dram ng gas kaya nag-alab, gusto ko siyang halikan at yakapin pero hindi... hindi na pwede, kasi...
"Hi, long time no see." he casually greeted me, like we are just friends who meet again after eight freaking years, parang wala kaming past.
"Y-yeah, l-long time no see. It's been a long time huh." Dumudungaw na sa mata ko ang mga luha, nanginginig na rin ang mga labi ko.
"Gumanda ka. Siguro may asawa ka na. Balita ko kay Elsie, kakauwi mo pa lang daw nung isang araw galing America? I didn't know na pumunta ka pala doon."
Napayuko ako, guilt is all I felt. Lalo na nung sinabi niya ang huling sentence na parang may hinanakit siya.
"But nevermind about it, it's all in the past anyway," he said shrugging, like it's nonsense to talk about it.
Mas lalo akong yumuko, kasi ramdam ko na, unti-unti lumalabas na ang tubig sa mata ko.
"Siguro nga everything really happens for a reason, were all happy anyway right? If it's not for you, I will not meet her." His voice, he sounds really happy.
I'm happy knowing that you're happy, even if I'm not the reason for it.
"Kent!"

"Yeah, sure why not. It's a pleasure." LJ said genuinely.
I smiled fakely. Para kong aatakihin sa puso sa nakikita ko, nagpaalam na ako sa kanilang hahanapin si Elsie, without looking back I let my tears flow freely from my eyes.
