Gavin woke up to the smell of sweet berries. Gavin lifted his head, yawning and stretching his wings. Beside him, Jenny was will asleep, her stomach going up and down softly. He smiled, admiring how pretty she looked in her sleep.
"I brought you lovebirds some fruits," Grapefruit says suddenly as he stood in the entrance of Gavin's hut with a basket full of fruits. Gavin flinched, frowning at the RainWing, though he couldn't stop the blush that formed on his cheeks. "Shut up, Grapefruit," Gavin whispered loudly, not wanting to wake Jenny up. Grapefruit rolled his eyes, grinning. Gavin carefully stood up, stretching his legs. Grapefruit set the basket of fruits in a corner of the hut. Grapefruit and Gavin spread their wings and flew into the sky.
"I cannot believe you two are mates," Grapefruit said as he grinned even more. "We are not mates," Gavin said angrily, as if he wanted to smack the RainWing with his claws. "We're close friends."
Grapefruit laughed. "Let me guess. You like her, don't you?"
Gavin didn't answer that, and a bright blush formed on his scales. "Maybe she likes you, too," Grapefruit added, concluding that Gavin had a crush on the NightWing. "She slept next to you."At the thought of it, Gavin smiled, looking completely lovestruck and happy. Did Jenny like him as a mate? Was it true? "Maybe. But I'm not going to tell her that I like her." Gavin said. "What if I told her?" Grapefruit grinned. Gavin glared at him.
"I'll take you to the Kingdom of the Sea and feed you to the sharks."While Gavin and Grapefruit flew around the RainWing territory, an RainWing with boring tree green scales popped up from the trees, panting. She looked exhausted, but also frightened. "Queen.. Glory.. Needs to... See you.. It's... Uh... Urgent!" The RainWing panted hard, trying to catch her breath. Gavin and Grapefruit exchanged glances, before nodding. "Okay, thank you, Olive." Grapefruit says as he zoomed off with Gavin to the queen's treehouse.
Gavin stopped by his hut to retrieve Jenny, but she was already gone. She must be at the treehouse already.
The dragonets rushed to the queen's treehouse, before flying through the entrance. Jenny was, in fact, already in the throne room, waiting for Gavin and Grapefruit. "Your Majesty," both Gavin and Grapefruit said at the same time as they landed next to Jenny. Glory had ripples of pale blue and green on her tail and claws, and she looked incredibly worried. She opened her elegant wings. "There has been a report that the MudWings and SandWings are about to die out," Glory says. "The last MudWings are the queen and a few of her subjects. The last SandWings are also the queen and her subjects, also." Glory sighed."The other tribes seems to be at an 'OK' state, but not for long. The tribes with the most dragons is the SkyWings, the second most is the RainWings." The queen continued her speech, the pale blue and green starting to fade. "We must plan our attack today and when to attack the SkyWings before one of the tribes are gone."
Queen Glory stepped out of her throne and opened her red-yellow wings. "Come. I have a secret meeting room we can talk in." Glory flew through the roof-less treehouse, looking back to make sure the dragonets followed her.She glided through the canopy, flying to the east. Gavin, Jenny, and Grapefruit were exchanging glances.
"I never thought of a plan yet." Gavin says. "Maybe we should fly to the Sky Kingdom and kill the queen there," said Grapefruit, flapping his wings to keep up. "Lets just make our plans with the queen." Jenny said as she flew ahead of the two dragons.Queen Glory flew below the canopy, dodging tree monkeys that was perched on branches and other RainWings that were exploring the forest. Turning a sharp corner, she flew to the darkest part of the forest. Away from the sunlight, it was so dark it was almost as if it was night time, though there was tiny blobs of light shining through the leaves from above. In between two gigantic trees was a large hut on a platform that could fit at least ten dragons. Glory landed on the platform.
"Come," she says. "Deathbringer is inside."
Jenny, Gavin, and Grapefruit followed the queen into the hut. Inside of the hut was a wide table with a large map of Pyrrhia in the center. There was a small bowl of ink on the table, and Deathbringer stood around the table, dark and mysterious. Jenny looked around as Gavin and Grapefruit stood next to the table. Glory poked her head outside of the hut, and pulled a small vine downwards, causing more vines and flowers to cover the entrance of the hut. She turned to look at the dragons."The troops are ready," Glory says as she stepped towards the table. "But we never thought of a plan. So, does one of you have any ideas?"
Grapefruit quietly raised his claw to answer. "I was thinking that we go to the Sky Kingdom and kill the queen from there," he says. "The queen's palace is probably packed with guards," Jenny says. "The RainWings would probably not even survive in the palace for long, even with camouflage and venom."
Glory nodded. "The SkyWings are very fast and skilled fighters. In the palace, there's also not much space for about a thousand RainWing soldiers to fight in. It would be cramped.""What if we bring the SkyWing queen to us?" Gavin suggests. "We could ambush her soldiers, and possibly even get to her faster and easier."
"That's not a bad idea," Deathbringer says. "But what about The RainWing's dragonets and eggs?" Glory's tail turned indigo as she began to look determined. "We already have a plan for the hatchlings and dragonets, Deathbringer. Do not worry." Glory said calmly."Me, Jenny, and Grapefruit will be the bait. We'll bring the SkyWings to the Rainforest Kingdom. Just be ready for lots of angry SkyWings." Gavin said as he fluttered his wings. Glory nodded, her whole body starting to turn indigo. "You brave dragonets will leave tomorrow at sunrise. The Sky Kingdom is pretty far from here, so you all need your rest."
Determined and ready for action, the dragonets flew back to the village, exercising throughout the day, and sleeping soundly throughout the night. They were ready to stop this war.
They was ready to stop Queen Andesine.
