Before Jennifer Blake, aka the Darach and Julia Baccari, was defeated, she had hurt Star really bad for trying to stop her from leaving. She had shoved her claws onto Star's stomach, deep, and left her inside the classroom, almost dying. Scott had bitten her after he became an alpha, when she was slowly dying.
Without a choice, Star became a supernatural creature too, because the bite worked. But she hasn't woke up from the coma, not until after the pack had defeated the Nogitsune.
