As the day drags by
I find myself on a high
Merely drifting away
Lost in thought
All I sought
Was Your hand to hold
But all I was told
Is that I just need to breathe
I just need to let it be
So I sit alone
Shivers through the bone
I just need to breathe
I just need to let it be
Though I found
That I was bound
Left for dead
Its all in my head
There is a breeze
Yet I still cannot breathe
My lungs they weak
You were so sleek
Your grip so tight
You held with all your might
I tried to fight
Lonely in the night
But what I see
Is that it's only me
Please set me free
Can you hear my plea
Light overpowers the dark
It already left its mark
Engraved on my hurting heart
Though You set me apart
My body frozen
It's You I have chosen
Save me from this demise
Hollow are my eyes
Suffocating from the inside
Shining from the outside
Bleeding in my chest
Smiling at my best
Protector of my heart
You set me apart
Please hear my plea
And set me free
From this demon within
