eddie rolled around in his small bed, mumbling and whimpering as he dreamed of the masked man chasing him around.
the small boy's eyes shot open, immediately filling with tears as he cried quietly to himself, shaking just as he did a few nights ago.
except this time, eddie was alone.
his small feel hit the ground as he tiptoed down the stairs, wincing at each creak. he stepped into the kitchen and gripped the phone corded to the wall and he carefully pressed the numbers he had now memorized.
"hello? w-who's this?" he heard on the other side of the line, his shoulders softening. "r-richie?" he whispered, "i need you."
"i'll be there in 5 minutes ed's." was all eddie heard before richie wasn't on the line anymore.

eddie had been sitting by the door, waiting for the tall boy to arrive.
after 4 minutes and 27 seconds, he heard there soft knocks on the door. eddie bolted to his feet and quietly opened the door as to not wake his sleeping mother.
the boy clung to richie like he was a magnet as soon as he saw him standing in the doorway. richie laughed softly, picking up the small boy.
"c'mon baby, lets get you to sleep."
he closed the door, slipping off his shoes at the door (because he knows eddie would be upset if he didn't) and climbed up the stairs.
he laid down on the small boy's bed with eddie still in his arms. he didn't speak, he just admired the boy sleeping softly next to him.
(these are just small filler chapters ,i'll throw some angst in soon don't you worry )
