eddie laid silently, engulfed in the lanky arms that wrapped around his form.
the air around them was still, the only thing being heard were richies shallow breaths.
eddie gazed up at the boy he had fallen so weak for. the thought of words exchanged merely hours ago made his knees tremble, and his heart soar.
the way richie said his name in so many different ways: eds, eddie spaghetti, baby.
he smiled at remembering the warm voice.
he remembered the goodnight kiss on bestowed on his cheek and the brushing of teeth side by side, especially when richie erupted into giggles at the sight of foamy-mouthed eddie.
he smiled to himself and caught himself staring at richie, and quickly looked away.
eddie knew it was wrong to look at someone in their most vulnerable state. (that state being sprawled out on eddies cramped twin bed with their legs in a tangled mess.) but he couldn't help but admire the sharp cheekbones and gentle freckles placed upon the boy beside.
he couldn't help but play with the curls on his head and cuddle up to him.
it was just too hard.
but after a few minutes,
he felt his waist being pulled closer and closer to the tall boy next to him. "it's not polite to stare, angel." richie spoke, voice slightly hoarse and eyes shut. the smaller boy flushed a shade of red and hid his face.
"sorry.." eddie mumbled, feeling more embarrassed than ever.
richie only smiled and kissed the top of his head.
both boys seemed to realized something that night;
home is much more than a place you live.
home is a feeling. home is the person that's there with you when your "home" is no longer yours, when you feel like you don't belong and you have no one else, your home is there to keep you warm and safe.
richie knew he had found home in eddie as soon as he first laid eyes on the boy.
and at this moment, laying in each others arms, eddie knew too.
richie was his home.
