HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE 

It has been a week since Vlad's father had come to see him. Vlad told Dax when he woke that his father is here and that he is waiting for the others. Dax has been looking thought Teo's book to see if they have missed something.

Vlad also won't let Dax out of the room. Vlad knows John is in the castle waiting for Dax. Vlad hasn't seen him, but he feels that he is there. Vlad's hungry has gotten worse. There are times Vlad has to stay away from Dax for hours sometimes days at end so he doesn't feed off him.

Vlad's fear is that is what the shadows want him to do. Feed on Dax until he dies. Loss the most important person in his life since Teo.

Even if Teo was the son of an enemy he will always have a place in his heart. For he is the one to show him that true love exists. But one thing Vlad don't get is why was Teo there in the first place?

Vlad walked back to the castle. The moon was still out and the stars filled the sky. Vlad stopped for a moment to enjoy them. When he was little he always thought stars were those who passed on looking down on you. Nighttime was the only time you could see them. But now he knows different, but a part of him still wants to believe that it true and Teo is one of them looking down at him.

Once Vlad was out of his daydream, he made his way to Dax, just to find him with yet another book in hand wearing just his boxers with bed hair. Vlad looked at Dax like he was his last meal. He was brought out of his daze when he heard his name.

"Vlad look what I find," Dax said as he handed him the book. The book had no name of any kind on it. "I think it may be Teo journal," Dax said. Vlad open the book to see it was indeed a journal. "Where did you find it at?" Vlad asked. "Behind the bed. It had a secret little door there." Dax told him "There still more in there." Dax showed him where the door is.

"We will look at them tomorrow right now you need rest," Vlad told him. "That's all I ever do now is rest. I'm stuck in this room all day. The only time I get out is when you're here and half the time you're gone for god knows how long." Dax told him.

"Dax it for your safety. I don't know where John and the others are hiding and I don't want to hurt you when my hunger kicks in. There are days where I can't control it and I don't hurt. So sorry for trying to keep you safe from John and myself." Vlad yelled.

After Vlad took a few breathes and calmed down. "Sorry for yelling at you, but I just don't want you hurt," Vlad said and took a sit on the bed. Vlad looked at the floor not wanting to see the look in Dax's face.

Dax just looked at the man sitting on the bed. All this time he was trying to save him from himself. Why didn't Vlad just tell him? 'Cause he stubborn that's why'. Dax thought.

Dax walked and kneeled in front of him. He took both hands and places then on the side of Vlad's face and made him look at him. "Why didn't you tell me your hunger was getting worse?" Dax asked.

Vlad looked into Dax's eyes he already knows that he was gone and couldn't lie. "I was afraid that you would leave me and I would have no way to keep you safe. I was afraid that you wouldn't want to be near me. I was afraid." Vlad told him.

Dax could tell that it was hard for Vlad to tell him all of that. They looked at one another.

Somehow or another. They don't know who went in first. One moment they were looking at one another the next their lips were on each other.

Vlad pulled Dax to where he sitting on his lap. On hand on Dax lower back the other on the back of his head. Vlad pours all his love in just that kiss, as did Dax.

Soon Dax pulled back to get some air. "That was the best kiss I have ever had," Dax said. Without thinking " Cred ca ma indragostesc de tine." Vlad said.

Dax may not know a bunch of Romanian but he knows what Vlad had told him.
