Ariella (Present)The next morning I woke up with a smile on my face, just like I always do when Alex and I have been together. My body raises up from where I was laying and I stretch my limbs out. I let out a deep sight and I look out my window as the sunlight shines through it.
Even though I wish I could stay in my bed all day, I have to get out of it. My legs throw themselves out of the cover and my feet touch the soft carpet. They carry me over to the bathroom as I get ready for the dreadful place that is school. Once I'm finished getting ready I grab my school bag and I make sure I have all the books I need.
When I make it downstairs I see that my sister is sitting at the kitchen counter eating a bowl of cereal. I walk up to the counter and I sit my bag down, "Where's mom and dad?"
Jill swallows the mouthful of cereal before she answers me. Thank god she did because I hate when people talk with their mouth full.
"Mom had an early shift at the hospital and dad had to get started early on a case this morning." she says and I nod my head.
I decided to make a bowl of cereal myself real quick. Jill and I eat while talking about random topics. For a thirteen year old she is actually very mature and wise for her age.
Once I hear the honking of Alex's car that's my cue to walk out the door. Jill usually gets a ride with her friend since her mother drives her to school, otherwise I'd have Alex drop her off.
I grab the lunch mom made for me as well as my bag and I jog towards the door. Once I'm out the door my line of vision immediately lands on Alex. Just like everyday he looks amazing but what's different about him is that his hair isn't laid across his forehead, instead it's pushed up in a messy yet sexy way.
Alex smiles at me while sneaking a little lip bite trying to look seductive. I chuckle a bit at his actions as I open to car door and I climb in.
"Girl you have now idea how much I'm hoping these last two weeks of school will fly by?" Jess says as she groans before continuing, "I have had enough of sophomore year."
"Alright Jess, calm down it will be over before you know it." Alex says while rolling his eyes, "Yeah I mean Alex is right, we should be enjoying high school while we can."
"Easy for him to say! After this year he only had one left until he goes off to college." Jess says while gesturing to Alex, her saying that made me frown a little.
Don't get me wrong I know Alex is a year older then us and everything but I can't imagine him leaving. As well as not seeing him everyday, it's a rare occurrence that I don't see him let alone talk to him at least once a day. Him leaving for college is without a doubt going to be hard. But we've been together for so long officially and unofficially, that I know we can make it work.
"You're certainly right about that Jess." I say sighing. Alex knows about how I feel about him leaving for college. From what Jess said as well as my reply makes him look in the rear view mirror. He has a sad look in his eyes as he pulls out onto the street.
The whole car ride to school consists of Jess playing music through the AUX and awkward stares from Alex in the mirror. Once we got to school Alex got out of the car and walked away. Leaving Jess and I walking alone instead of together like we usually do.
