Chapter 25

Scarlet's P.O.V.

"Nooo. You're doing it wrong." I rolled my eyes listening to Lynn whisper yell in frustration.

Hannah had somehow managed to stop the descend of the.ropes and pulled us up with a few buttons.

Now we were trying to cut the ropes and get us down. The only thing that's the problem is that there's no way to close the trapdoor so if we don't do this right, we'll die.

Francis, who magically brought a penknife was thinking about swinging us then we cut off the main rope holding us above the ground. But... we don't know how to swing ourselves tied up together. Cutting the rope is no problem cause Oscar has long arms.

"Okay I'm gonna YOLO," Francis declared.

"What's YOLO?" Lynn asked.

"I totally forgot u haven't been in touch with sociality... YOLO means You Only Live Once. Which probably means live your life to the fullest before its over," Francis gave a long detailed explanation..

"So what are you gonna do?" I asked.

"I'm gonna jump across this hole with the coal in it, hit you guys so u can start swinging. Here catch," He threw the penknife at Oscar.

He almost dropped it and if it did I'll kill him, with or without Hannah's permission.

"Okay go!" Hannah instructed and Francis leaped. He hit us or more like hit Aloysius really hard then ALMOST didn't make it. When he landed he look pleased. Then...

"Dude, we aren't moving."

"It was worth a try," He shrugged.

"Yes, worth a try almost killing yourself," Yasmine spoke from the back.

"Oh your awake?" he was quite surprised I must say.

"No I'm dead," She rolled her eyes and Francis laughed sheepishly.

"HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA GET DOWN. AM I GONNA DIE OF HEAT OR AM I GOING TO DIE OF NO FOOD AND WATER?!" I shouted. Desperate. Yes I was desperate.

Just then, Jabez came in smiling.

"I'm going to offer you guys... a deal. If Scarlet, Aloysius, Oscar and Lynn stay behind and learn the dark arts to become my servants, I will let all of you go and the 4 will be treated nicely," He smiled.

I looked at Aloysius who was tied beside me. We both knew this was the only way if not we will all die here without food or any water.

"I'll do it," I said to Jabez.

"Me too," Aloysius said.

"I guess.. I'll have to do it," Oscar mumbled.

"For my brother," Lynn said earnestly.

"Very well," With a wave of Jabez's hand, we were brought down and the trapdoor was closed and we were led out.

Hannah's P.O.V.

"Hannah!" Oscar rushed towards me. I ran over to hug him but was taken by surprise that... his lips were on mine...

I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck. Our lips moved together like a never-ending motion. It was so breathtaking.

"Wa..was that your first?" Oscar asked after we pulled away.

"Yeah," I nodded while panting.

"Time for you to go," Jabez nodded his head at me, Thea, Francis and Yasmine.

I stared at Oscar as I left the base back through the passage way and back to school.

Will I ever see him again?
