Chapter 29

Angela's P.O.V.

"Jabez, listen to me! They are dangerous. Are you listening? Dangerous!" I was getting pretty irritated.

He was just sitting on his chair calmly flipping through some spell book. I know he's listening. He's just ignoring me.

"Oh my god will you listen to me Jabez? D A N G E R O U S. DANGEROUS," I was to the point of ripping my hair out.

"Master," He corrected.

"Sorry Master. But still. They are dangerous. Are you going to do anything about it?" I pressed on.

"No."

"Why?"

"Because, they may possess the powers but they don't know what they can do with it. They would only know dark spells which will wash away their light and eventually become dark magic," He explained, "fear not Angela."

I groaned. I was sure at least Scarlet knew what she could do.

I had to agree with Jabez if not I'll be in trouble, "okay Master."

I was in the forest. Staring at my prey, which was a deer. I licked my lips and slowly nocked an arrow. I was using Scarlet's bow as she wasn't allowed to use it.

I aimed with my right eye, waited 3-4 counts then I let go of the string and watched the arrow fly into a tree a few feet away from it.

The deer got startled and ran away. I stomped over to the arrow and pulled it out of the tree annoyed.

"You're not so good at archery aren't you," a tall guy wearing spectacles approached me.

"Who are you," I stiffened.

"Kerwin. Or most people call me D or Dm for some reason," he replied.

I stood there staring at him. He scratched his head then asked, "um and you are...?"

"Oh! Right sorry, I'm Angela," I snapped out of my thoughts.

"That's a pretty name."

"Thank you."

"So, you work for Jabez?" His question took me by surprise.

"You know Ja- I mean Master?" I asked.

"Yeah he's a good friend of mine. Sad that he ditched me though," he raised his eyebrow when I called Jabez, Master.

"What are you doing here? This is pretty much Ja- I mean Master's territory," I groaned after almost calling him Jabez...

"I need to see Jabez. There's something I want to discuss with him," Kerwin said.

"What do you want to discuss with him?" I got suspicious.

"You expect me to share words with you meant for you leader?" He smiled slyly.

"Hmph. Fair enough. Follow me," I snapped.

I brought him through the third passageway and entered the base. Yes, we have many passageways. Around 4-5.

When we reached Jabez's room I knocked on his door.

"Master? You have a visitor."

"Come in."

I motioned Kerwin to go in. He hesitated and I shoved him in. Sigh no time to waste asshole.

I stood at the door listening.. This is what I heard.

"Kerwin.. what are you doing here."

"What, I can't say hello to you?"

"I'm very well sure you did not come here to exchange greetings."

"You're right."

"What do you want?"

"I want all new servants. I want to take them."

"No."

"Why. I thought you despised them."

"Yes but they help me."

"Give them to me.." Kerwin's tone became serious and less... playful.

"No."

"Fine. I'll still get them. Whether you like it or not," Kerwin ended and walked towards the door without even saying bye. I could hear footsteps. 

"Wait kerwin. Come back. Maybe we can discuss some... terms," Jabez chuckled.

"Terms you say?"

"Yes. Sign a contract.. Make a deal."

"No. I'll see you soon. I'll be coming back before you know it," he ended and walked out the door. I quickly bowed to Jabez before escorting him back to the forest.

"Well look, it's already night. Good luck surviving out there," I sniggered.

"Oh Angela, you doubt me too much," he grinned and sped off into the woods.

When will he be back?
