Ariadne

The Mistress of the Labyrinth, Ariadne was put in charge of the maze housing the Minotaur by her father, Minos. Seven young men and seven young women went in, being made as sacrifices to the beast. One man she helped, for she had fallen in love with him, Theseus. She gave him a sword and a ball of thread to help him escape once he defeated the creature. Thinking he would return her love, the young maiden was left with a broken heart as the hero fled.

Yet, her woes ceased to be when Dionysus, the god of wine. Taken as a bride, he made her immortal and took her to Olympus.

On the mortal soil of earth, she is known as Rivka Marie Spencer. A socialite, she loves the party scene and the men. Her goddess is often associated with wine as well, other times passion or fertility. She's not a bad woman, her life as a catered lady has just made her slow to care for others. She wishes for a life of comfort, but one of love as well.

She is sarcastic and loud and brash...everything a blue blooded gal isn't supposed to be. She can play the part of a sweet darling and one of high standards, but she would very easily slip into a hazy dream of drinks and a fantastic man in bed. She secretly weeps for change, to make her life better...she just can't quit the drinking.

She has no clue of who she really is, but if she did...and she saw who Dionysus took as a vessel...then dang boy would she be happy to stay on earth!
