"A Love Story" Kaede and Shuichi

Chapter 6

Shuichi's POV

    Kaede's cute giggling filled my ears as I smiled contently. Gonta smiled too.

    "Yeah, that one does look funny," Gonta said, looking at a bug on the wall.

    "My favorite is still the butterfly," Kaede admitted, looking up at the wall of different type of bugs. She turned to me with a confident grin on her face. She cocked her head at me and smiled even wider before turning back to the wall of creatures. She looks so happy... Her happiness made me happy.

    "Which butterfly? Red or blue?" Gonta asked. She pointed and joyfully replied.

    "Blue. It glitters as the ocean does in the night of a star-filled sky," She said elegantly, not tripping over one of her words.

    "What do you think, Shuichi?" Gonta asked. I looked back up at the blue butterfly. It did look perfect in a way.

    "Yeah, the blue butterfly is very beautiful," I said. She changed her gaze to me again, smiling at me with her beautiful purple eyes. They shined with joy as they looked into mine.

    Our gaze was broken when Gonta spoke. We both turned to the giant. "Well, I love hanging out with you. But Gonta want to find more bugs. Gonta going to go search," He said. I nodded and before I could respond, Kaede did.

    "Okay, Gonta. Thank you for hanging out with us!" She said cheerfully. Gonta smiled.

    "Thank you, Kaede and Shuichi," We then all walked out of his research lab and we separated ways. It was just Kaede and I again.

    "Hey.. Shuichi?" Kaede asked. I looked at her eyes. Her joyful look had disappeared.

    "What's wrong?" I asked, kind of blurting out the question. I didn't mean to, but I knew something was wrong with her.

    "U-Umm... am I.. pretty?" She asked. I stared in shock. She looked at me sadly.

    "What? Why would you ask that?" I asked. I grabbed her hand, pushing away the heat from my cheeks. "Kaede, you are one of the most beautiful girls I have ever met. And you aren't just beautiful on the outside.." I put her hand that I had grabbed to her heart, "But you're beautiful in here too. You're gorgeous in and out, Kaede,"

    She looked at me and I noticed a shimmer of a tear or two in her eyes, but I only got a glimpse because pulled me into a passionate kiss, her arms around my neck. I was shocked at first, but immediately afterwards pushed my lips onto hers, my hands wrapping around her lower back and pulling her closer to me. Her breasts pressed against my chest as our lips danced with one another. Her kisses against mine were a bit rougher than last night as I felt her pull on my jacket, entwining it between her fingers. I didn't know where this would lead until I felt her soften the kiss, her grip on my jacket loosen greatly as our long kiss ended. She broke the kiss and gazed at me.

    "Thank you, Shuichi. Thank you for everything," She said softly, as I felt her breath hit my mouth. I could smell her minty breath. I smiled back at her.

    "No, Kaede. Thank you," I kissed her gently one last time before breaking our sweet kiss. She grinned before we returned our normal posture.

    I inspected her before reaching a conclusion. "Kaede.. Is that why you looked more... touched up today? Cause you thought you had to look "pretty"?" She shifted slightly and I could tell I was correct before she answered.

    "Y-Yeah..." She answered before looking up at me guiltily.

    "Oh Kaede.. You're so cute," I answered and chuckled. She gave a small laugh as she continued to look up at me.

Before the space between us could become awkward, I grabbed her hand.

    "Do you want to play some games in the game room?" I asked. She looked up at me with a different expression, a joyful one. She chuckled slightly.

    "Sure." She said with the prettiest of smiles.

    So I walked with her to the game room, occasionally looking at her to see a small grin still plastered on her face.
