Shuichi's POV
My face was as red as a tomato. I couldn't believe I walked in on that. But, beside that, Kaede looked... really good. She looked so cute with that... was that a cat costume? It looked as soft as a cat and that little bell on her neck added a nice touch. She looked very cute. I wish I could have stayed and looked a little longer but.. It would be inappropriate.
I sighed and turned out of Tsumugi's lab, still terribly embarrassed. After I leave I walk through the halls, looking for Kaito. I easily find him as he is still in the courtyard. It seemed Maki was walking somewhere.
"Hey, Shuichi!" Kaito said excitedly. I took a seat next to him.
"Hey.. where is Maki going?" I ask.
"Oh, she went over to the bathroom. What are you doing? You should be over there with Kaede!" He said. I sigh.
"Well.. I kinda walked in on her... in a cat costume..." I say, a light tint of pink on my cheeks.
"Woah, cat costume?! Dang!" Kaito looks forward where Maki had went, not really caring about anymore of the conversation. I heard him whisper to himself. "I wish I could see her in that..." I looked toward Kaito.
"Huh?" I ask. He smirks.
"Ah, it's nothing..." He trails off and we sit in silence before Maki came and we began talking like three friends normally do. I swear.. Kaito may hope but he is never going to see her in that attire...
We talked for awhile before there wasn't really much else to talk about. After our conversation for the most part drifted to nothing, we sat, quiet. We looked up at the sky, the clouds slowly floating in the air. It was nice, but soon I wanted to find Kaede and apologize.
"Hey, I'm gonna go find Kaede. It was really nice talking to you guys," I said with an almost awkward smile.
"Hey man, it was nice talking to you too," Kaito gives me a confident smile. I grin back and make my way back to Tsumugi's lab room. I didn't know whether to wait until I saw Kaede naturally or try to knock on the lab. I didn't want to seem rude, or even worse a perv, so I didn't know what to do. I sighed as I walked in the halls, coming closer to a decision with each step I took. Finally, I came to a conclusion.
I knocked on Tsumugi's door. I waited a bit, but nobody showed. After another few knocks, harder this time, I was sure they could hear me. But as I waited I noticed nobody came. I took a shaky breath and creaked open the door.
After scanning the room with the crack of space the door made, I slowly creaked it open more. Then more, until it was fully open. I looked around, a little relieved there was nobody there. I looked over to the closet door and tip-toed toward it. When I reached the door I put my ear next to it, trying to hear a voice. I listened closely.
If I could listen hard enough, I heard muffled voices. The sound of voices only made me more nervous, but I decided I should knock anyway, since I was here.
Here goes nothing..
Knock, Knock, Knock. After three hard knocks my heart beat pounded. I swore I could really hear it. I heard the voices stop, and now footsteps. That only worsened my anxiety and I winced when the door opened.
"Shuichi?" A sweet voice answered. Kaede had her head peeking out of the crack of the door. She had a hint of red topped on her cheeks as she looked up at me shyly. She seemed to be leaned down or something, as her head was not at her normal height.
"Hey, Kaede. I hope I'm not bothering you. I just wanted to apologize for walking in on you. I should have knocked, I know it was awkward and all..." My voice trailed off. I felt my cheeks warm, but she giggled.
"It's alright. Don't worry about it, it's really not a big deal. Here, I wanna show you something," She said. I then saw her look behind her. I don't think she said anything, and if she did, I didn't hear it. She turned back around with a smile plastered on her face. "Close your eyes."
I hesitated. "Um- Well.. If you want me too..." I covered my eyes with my hands and closed them. I felt her grip my forearm.
"Yay! Okay, just right in hear.." I heard the door fully swing open and felt her tugging me. I winced from the cold her touch gave me. Goodness, that is cold! Her hands aren't usually that cold... I reluctantly walked, trying not to fall down. Which was actually pretty hard.
We walked a bit further until I flinched, hearing the door shut behind me. "It's okay, it's just Tsumugi," I heard Kaede say.
"O-Okay..." I said.
"Alright. Don't move, but keep covering your eyes." She said. I nodded and I heard the sound of metal. It made my stomach slightly turn. What is she doing?
After a few long moments, I finally heard her voice.
"Alright! Open your eyes!"
I opened my eyes and creaked a finger away from my eyes to take a peek. I was surprised to see Kaede in.. armor?
I fully uncovered my eyes to see Kaede in slightly revealing armor, head to toe. Her hair was free, looking as if it would flow in the wind on the battlefield. She had a sword in her right hand, which was up and behind her neck. She posed in a relaxed position and smiled like a true warrior at me. She had a red cape draped across her back, reaching down to her knees.
"How do I look?" She asked. I was stunned. Her beauty was unbelievable as her armor was placed to show off her perfect figure. I didn't even know what I should say, but knew I had to say something as to not make it awkward.
"Kaede, you look amazing," I said quietly, not knowing what else to say. She smiled contently and changed positions, holding the sword with two hands and pressing it to the floor. Her cape moved with her gracefully, as so did her blond hair.
"Aw, thanks!" She said. She creeped closer, making my heart want to beat faster. "Do I look like a true warrior?" She said a bit more quiet. And more serious. I knew I had to be showing a blush, but there was nothing I could do about it.
"Yeah, you do," I say, still as quiet as before. She then leans out and smiles ear to ear.
"Yay! That's what I hoped for! Thanks, Tsumugi!" At this point I had totally forgotten Tsumugi was even here. I turned around to see a content and happy smile on her lips. I looked back at Kaede to see her staring at me. I gave her a grin before I heard Tsumugi start walking away from us.
"I'll be right back," She said. I turned around one last time to see her smirk at Kaede before leaving and shutting the door. I couldn't see Kaede's reaction as I had turned around to slowly.
When our eyes met again, I didn't know what to say. Her beauty was a lot to bear, but there was no way I minded it.
"You really do look beautiful, Kaede," I say, my confidence coming back. She grinned.
"Thanks, Shuichi," She grinned back and I stepped forward.
"Now, let me kiss my great warrior," Her eyes widened and I leaned in, kissing her gently. I wrapped my arms around her waist, the metal stinging me from the cold. But I was fine with it, as the hot, passion between our lips made up for it.
She immediately kissed back, her arms wrapping around my neck. For a moment the whole world disappeared. Everything was perfect, and just the way I wanted it to be.
After a minute, maybe two, Kaede broke the kiss. I looked at her as she gazed at me with gentle eyes.
"Shuichi.." She whispered in a gentle tone. She smiled at me and gave me one last peck on the lips before releasing her grip on me. I did as well and she looked down at herself, then guiltily at me.
"Do you mind helping me take this off?" She chuckled. I laughed.
"Sure, just tell me what to do," I say. She grins.
"Thank you. Oh- And don't worry! I have normal clothes underneath this," She said with a blush. I chuckled back.
"Alright,"
And with that, I helped her get out of that suit. It was actually more complicated than I thought, but I would have done it all over again.
