The high pitch repeating sound of my alarm clock on my phone is what woke me up out of my sleep. I already held off getting up twice by reminding it to wake me up 5 mins later but I honestly can't risk being late for school, since the last year is what really counts.

I retired from my bed and slipped on my slippers and made my way into my bathroom which was connected to my room, I stood in front of the sink and examined my face for a second.

Dark circles, a few acne scars, and some dark spots. Ugh. This is why guys don't talk to me. And my eyebrows definitely need to be shaped soon. Nothing a little makeup can't fix. But don't get me wrong, makeup isn't always the answer, it's good to let your skin breathe sometimes but when walking around other 17/18 year olds who have a judging problem, you gotta cover your face up with something because kids are cruel.

After debating on how I was gonna wear my now wet curls from the shower, I decided a classic messy bun, which I would regret later when taking it down to comb out, would be the better option.

I went downstairs to see my father doing something on his laptop and mixing his coffee. He mumbled a good morning before closing his laptop. He got up fixed his shirt and took a sip of his coffee. He then walked over to me and kissed my cheek.

"See you later sweetheart I love you" He said quickly before leaving the house.
I love my dad, but the guy works way too much. I mean I'm grateful for everything he's bought me with his job but I hope he takes a vacation soon, He's well past due with one.

I didn't have time to fix any fancy breakfast so I settled with cereal and a granola bar for later. I'm usually up on time to make some quick toaster waffles and toast but today was the first day of school from thanksgiving break and my sleep schedule was all thrown off from that.

I drowned my glass with orange juice to wash down everything that I had just eaten and grabbed my backpack and headed towards my car. I grabbed the keys from my pocket and hit the unlock button. Once the car singled that it unlocked I opened the door and tossed my backpack in the passenger seat next to me. I closed my door and before anything else, I checked my phone. I would never text and drive because it's really not worth it, so I always check before I start the car.

Hayden 7:04 a.m
Think you can pick me up? I got gas $$!
I shook my head at the text. Hayden has been my best friend since we were in elementary school. Never do I ever ask her for anything. But I appreciate the offer.
To: Hayden 7:12 a.m
Lol omw! And don't worry bout the gas it's cool.
I lock my phone and place it in my cup holder and begin starting my car. I then heard a ding indicating she replied back. I glanced down and saw she said "okay" I put my car in reverse and backed out of my driveway and headed towards her house.

"Pleaseeee Alexis!? I'll pay besides I'm sure you didn't eat breakfast yet." Hayden was begging me to take us to Dunkin' Donuts before school and she wanted to pay.

"If it helps you sleep at night. But I really don't mind taking you to school. It's just something's friends do. You don't owe me anything." I assured her. She really didn't owe me anything. Hayden was the only person I could trust and relate to. I like to think of her as my sister.

We pulled up to the drive-thru and placed our orders. I ordered a donut and a iced sweet tea, something simple. But Hayden started ordering a bunch of munchkins and a large iced coffee. She definitely didn't play when it came to food. She could eat for days and still maintain a perfect shape which I admit I was a little jealous about.
