[harrys pov]
Leaving Hayley's flat that day was pure torture. I didn't like being away from her, and it was so obvious she was pissed at me. She tends to do stupid stuff when she's pissed so I felt like I should give her time to cool off.
I didn't want her to be mad at me, and I sure as hell didn't want her to go on that date tonight. I didn't want to sit there helplessly watching her flirt with Niall. I didn't want to see Niall all over her. Let's face it, Hayley was stunning. Her body was insane. She had curves in all the right places, and her breasts alone were enough to make any guys' mouth water. Her hair was thick and wavy, and her smile was.. wow. Not only is her appearance amazing, but I could listen to her talk for hours. I have listened to her talk for hours and I can't think of anything I've wanted to do more. Well, except kiss her but that's different... I didn't want anyone else to know her like I do.
I have to talk to Niall.
When I get back to our suite, he's lounging on the couch eating chips.
"Niall, I've got to talk to you."
"What is it Haz?" he grabs the remote to turn off the tv.
"It's about the whole date thing tonight. I'm not sure it's such a great idea." I have no idea how to tell him to back the fuck off of Hayley.. nicely.
"Why do you say that? Leila's hot."
"This isn't about Leila..." I fiddle with my thumbs. "Its about Hayley."
"I knew it." A voice says from behind me. Low and behold, Louis is standing right there with a mischievous smile slapped across his face.
"Knew what?" I say defensively.
"You and Hayley. You totally fancy her." Louis says, eyes glowing. " I knew it from the second you introduced her to us. I saw it in your eyes. By the way you were looking at her I'm surprised you didn't take her to your room and fuck her right then and there." I feel my face go red in embarrassment, because as much as I hate to admit it, Lou is right. I've wanted her since the day I saw her outside that pub.
"Harry, why didn't you just tell us?! I won't go with her tonight, even if she's the hottest girl I've seen in America so far." Niall says, picking a fight with me knowing I won't like how he just referred to Hayley. I shove him across the couch.
"Dammit Niall." I laugh then point at Louis. " And you're such an ass."
"I believe you meant, 'Thanks Lou for telling Niall to stay away from my girl.'" he sasses me. Typical.
"She's not my girl." At the moment she's one of my best friends, but trust me it wasn't a choice. This is such bullshit. Why can't I just admit to her that I have feelings for her.
"When was the last time somethin' like this happened? Where Harry couldn't get the girl? Our poor lad, friendzoned by the love of his life." Louis sticks out his bottom lip and gives me a look of pity. Now he really wants to fight. I stand up and two hand shove him backwards. He just laughs and runs from me.
"Shut up Lou."
"Or what? It's not like she couldn't find someone else to hang out with tonight. She'll find a new date within an hour once Niall calls her." he's just trying to piss me off. Hayley wouldn't . She never goes on dates, even though everywhere we go guys drool over her. I don't say anything back because I want him to shut his damn mouth.
"Lou stop before he breaks something." Niall steps in. Louis and Niall laugh it off, but now I can't stop thinking about Hayley and another guy.
"What are you going to do about the Lauren chick anyways?" Louis asks.
"I dunno. I don't want to be rude." I say, not bothering to correct Louis.
"Just go. Plus, it might make Hayley jealous." Niall winks at me. Louis walked upstairs. He's got a point. Just like how Hayley kissed that guy when we played truth or dare. A shiver runs down my spine just thinking about it. How his hands grabbed her hips, while she slowly rocked. The image is enough to make vomit. I know she did it to smite me, and I did my very best to act cool about it while on the inside I was boiling.I told Leila to meet me outside a private restaurant on 7th, because I want to keep a low profile. It's right next to the coffee shop Hayley always goes to. I'm planning on just dinner then I'll take her home. I want this night over with, but I want Leila to think we're having a good time because I know she'll report back to Hayley. Leila was basically Hayley's only friend here in the city. I've heard her mention her lifetime best friend, who lives back in her hometown, but it sounds like they don't keep in touch any more.
I'm pissed I even have to go tonight. Leila seems nice, but I can't. As bad as I want to make Hayley jealous, it's not worth it. I'll just call Leila's work and cancel. Who goes on a date on a Sunday anyway? I hated the idea of Hayley sitting home all night by herself. Ill pop by once I call Leila.
"What are you doing?" Niall asks when he sees me pull out my phone.
"Calling Leila to cancel." I say quick after I press call so he can't stop me. Well that's what I thought, before he ripped my phone out of my hands.
"You cant do that." He snaps.
"Why not? You just did!" I reach for my phone but he dodges my grasp.
"You asked me to that's why. I won't let you blow this girl off." this time I successfully grab my phone. I don't care about Leila's feelings. I care about Hayley and only Hayley. I don't want her to think I'm into anybody else.
I know something is there. We have the magnetic attraction between us that pulls us toward each other whenever we're together. I know she feels something for me too, or she wouldn't of looked at me like that last night. The lust in her eyes was obvious and I bet mine looked the same. The way she bit her lip and looked me up and down. The way she moved closer and closer to me. I swallow hard at the memory.
"Are you okay bro?" Nialls voice brings me back to reality.
"Uh yeah yeah." Embarrassed that he noticed how my thoughts were effecting me, I dial the number.
I politely tell Leila I can't make it tonight, and say maybe another time. Which I don't mean at all.
"You're a dick Harry." Niall says when I hang up the phone.
"Yeah yeah yeah." I wave him off.
I go to grab my coat as Liam walks down the stairs.
"Where are you headed?" he asks me.
"Going to see Hayley, wanna come?" I have no idea why the hell I just asked him to come with me, it sort of left my mouth without really thinking.
"Uh.. Sure." he shrugs. Dammit. This could be good, he can be my wingman or something like that.
On my way out he starts to talk to me, "So Tommo told me about the whole situation. Ya know, about you and Hayley. I knew you liked her bro, right from the beginning. Remember how pissed you were when she went and kissed that guy?" he laughs at my expense and I just shake my head.
"That bloody bastard." I joke and Liam's eyes squint in laughter.
"How do you think I should tell her?" I ask.
"Tell her what?"
"How I feel about her." Liam's whole demeanor changes and stops me.
"I don't think that's such as good idea, Haz. That could ruin everything. It could ruin your whole relationship, because once you drop that bomb there's no going back. Once it's out there, it's out there for good."
"Liam you don't understand. This girl.. she drives me crazy. I've never felt like this before. I've never wanted to kiss a girl so badly. Every time she bats her damn eyelashes I have to refrain from taking her right then and there." I stop talking realizing what I'm admitting to Liam. Shit that was way too much information.
"Well shit Harry." he laughs, obviously just as embarrassed as to what I just said. I decide to go on though.
"I can't just stop feeling like this. I can't just stop hanging out with her. I'm happy when I'm with her. She makes me happy." I shrug. I probably sound like such a woman right now.
"I don't know what to tell you mate." What the hell Liam? You're supposed to know fucking everything.
"But I do have one question for you." Liam says to me.
"Okay, what?"
"Why didn't you make a move on Hayley before she sucked you tinto the friend zone?" he asks me the question I've been asking myself since the moment I've met her. I refuse to tell the answer because I don't have one.
He follows me out of the building and cameras flash as we jump into the car. We head to Hayley's apartment and I punch in the code to take the elevator into her apartment. Although, when we get there her apartments empty. I knew I was an idiot to think that she'd sit at home all night. But where would she go?[hayleys pov]
The view from the top of the Empire State Building was breathtaking. Even though I'm still not sure it was worth all that money to come up here. Sixty-five dollars? Really?
It's amazing what these tourists will pay to do these types of things. But, I am determined to get my money's worth. I heard my phone vibrating in my purse on multiple occasions, but I didn't want it to ruin my moment up here. It's amazing to see the city like this. Seeing the city from the roof of my building is one thing, but seeing it from one of the tallest buildings in New York was another. I wish I had someone here to experience this with me.
Harry immediately popped into my mind. God Dammit Hayley.
That's the moment I pulled out my ringing phone and answered it without looking at the caller ID.
