The snow fell from the sky in fluttery pieces, making the world white for miles. It was beautiful but of course Cartman was spending it inside, with his family. Liane was in the kitchen making food for the family while the others were in the living room. Cartman sat on his couch grunting and avoiding contact with his family. His grandma sat beside him, and boy did that annoy him. He hated the way she hummed to herself without knowing, hated the way she tried to talk to him about school, hated how she couldn't hear and how her voice was so sugar coated it sounded fake.
Liane came out with food just as Cartman was about to leave the room. He sat back down and poked at a piece of pasta that was on his plate. Goddamn was he annoyed with his family they kept talking about stupid adult things that were of no interest to anyone. Finally Cartman's grandma spoke up. " liane honey when are you going to get married?" Liane awkwardly cleared her throat. " Grammy we've been over this I'm not getting married" She shook her head in response and turned to Cartman. " anyone sparked your interests honey?" Cartman almost choked on his pasta, he turned towards his grandma. " um well uh-" the doorbell rang cutting his sentence short. Cartman used this as an opportunity to leave the awkward situation. He opened the door and was surprised to find a fiery looking redhead at the door, but instead of a grim frown he wore an awkward smile. " hi Cartman I uh well, was bored at home and a-" Cartman just looked at him and gave a sly smile. " I guess you missed me is what you're trying to say, right Kyle?" Kyle turned his face away and looked at the snow, even though it was dark Cartman could tell he was blushing. Cartman stepped to the side of the door frame and gestured his head towards inside. Kyle knew what this meant, he walked past Cartman and gave a shy smile.
He walked in and greeted liane as he passed. He walked into the living room and scanned the area, tons of old people and old people smell. It wasn't a pleasant area to be in. Cartman walked in behind him and sat in the floor. Kyle joined him on the ground and picked quietly at the carpet. The relatives payed him no mind and decided to continue their conversation with Cartman. " so Eric honey you never answered my question" Cartman looked at her with a rose tint on his face. Kyle looked at him. " if you don't mind me asking what was the question?" Cartman's grandma looked at Kyle sweetly and smiled wide. " I guess you can help me with this question, does Eric like anyone?" Kyle smiled wide and looked at Cartman. He slid his arm behind Cartman and wrapped his arm around his shoulders. "I would have to say no one that I know right now but I'm thinking he may have a crush on someone special" he smiled at Cartman and Cartman looked at the carpet.
Hours passed and it was time for Kyle to go home, Cartman's family insisted he walk Kyle out and he was to tired to argue so he went along. They got to the door and Kyle walked out before he could leave Cartman grabbed his sleeve and turned him around. Cartman stared at him before saying " uh thanks, for not telling my family." Kyle smiled " no problem." He leaned up and pecked Cartman on the cheek before wrapping his arms around his waist and burying his face in his neck and leaving another kiss there too. Cartman smiled and waved goodbye to him. He closed the door and turned around, his family was string at him.
" so, not into anyone eh!" Cartman's Grammy asked
Cartman blushed and looked away
Was it that obvious?
