Jermaine
We pulled up at this big house and Trey and Damien got out the car and Tess and I went round the back to get our bags. "You good?" she said softly as her brothers walked up into the house.
"I'm straight... your brothers are cool and your mom seems to like me so far—its just your dad that's gon scare the hell out me,"
"Come on he's not that bad, he's a cool guy once you get to know him forreal," she laughed. We then walked into the huge house and it was already full of people. There was kids running around all over the place and it smelled like a good home cooked meal."Baby, take your bags upstairs and show Jermaine where he'll be sleeping then come down and help with the potato salad—" Tess' mom said just as we were walking in.
"Bruh I was on a plane all day I'm tired, why can't Trey help with the salad?" she said frowning.
"Who you calling bruh?" her mom frowned at her and I tried not to laugh.
"My bad mama," she smiled. "okay we're gonna set our bags down we'll be back in a minute,"
She led the way upstairs and I followed getting a good look at her ass before I was surprised to hear a voice at the top of the stairs.
"AUNTIEEEE—" a little girl yelled, she had to be about 4 or 5.
"Hey baby," she set her bag to the side and picked her up, "you getting so big oh my god—what you doing upstairs?"
"We was playing hide and seek," she told her with a grin, "my momma said you was bringing your man, is this him?" she pointed at me and I couldn't help but laugh.
"You know what, your mama talk too much..." Tess mumbled.
"Hi my name is Nova whats yours?" she looked at me still pointing in my face.
"My name's Jay," I gave her a smile. "you have on a really pretty dress Nova,"
"I know," she nodded, "issa pwincess dress—"
Tess laughed before putting her back down. "Go and play with your friends Nova I'll see you in a bit—" we continued down the hall into her bedroom.
I looked around at her room she didn't have much stuff but it fit her personality perfectly. I took a seat on her bed and just looked around. She was going through her bag looking for something before looking up at me.
"Cute room," I mumbled before laying back on her bed.
"Are you tryna be funny?" she narrowed her eyes at me.
"Nah I'm serious, I like it..." I sighed, "I'm tired as fuck yo—where can I put my shit?"
She laughed before replying. "You not staying in here..."
"Whatchu mean by that?" I frowned sitting up.
"You're gonna sleep between my parents,"
"Man shut up—" I kissed my teeth at her.
"Nah I'm playing, but we can't stay in the same room—you're gonna be in the guest room down the hall."
"Why we can't stay in the same room?" I frowned.
"I told you my parents were super conservative... you not supposed to sleep together until marriage—"
"Oh so you just gonna pretend like we don't fuck?" I said, raising my eyebrow.
"Jermaine, please." She sighed.
"Aight man, whatever just show me my room." I mumbled, getting up.

Tess
After I showed Jermaine his room down the hall we made our way back downstairs to join everyone again. There were kids running around all over the house, my aunties and uncles and cousins were posted up everywhere too. We briefly said hi to all them before going to find where my dad was sitting in the living room with my brothers and my nieces and nephews.
"Dadddddy," I ran up to him and hugged him.
"Hey baby girl," he squeezed me and kissed my forehead. "we missed you around here,"
"Same here pops," I kissed his cheek, "I want you to meet my boyfriend Jermaine—" I told him and Jermaine gave him a smile and shook his hand.
"Great to finally meet you sir,"
"Likewise young man," my dad said sizing him up, "I've heard a lot about you..."
"Only good things I'd like to hope," Jermaine chuckled before we sat down. Soon enough my brothers left the room and my dad drew his eyes back to the game that was on tv. He wasn't a man of many words, but trust if he wasn't liking Jay he would let it be known.
"Did y'all enjoy the service today?" he finally spoke and we both nodded.
"Yeah it was good, I missed your sermons—" I responded and Jermaine just nodded.
"What church you go to, son?" my dad asked Jay.
"Uh—I'm kind of in between churches right now actually, I've been looking for a good one in New York," he told him and I tried to hold in my laughter knowing his ass was lying. My poor baby was probably so nervous. I took his hand and gave it a squeeze.
"TESS COME IN HERE REAL QUICK--!" my mom yelled out from the kitchen so I got up and followed her in there.
"Yeah?" I came in the kitchen and helped myself to a chicken wing that was in the dishing tray on the island.
"Nothing, just wanted to give them some time alone...."
"Were y'all in here watching what's going on in the living room?" I frowned sitting on the counter.
"Hell yes, what you thought??" my auntie said, drawing her eyes back to the living room. "Girl, he cute...." She said as she stared at my man.
"Okay auntie chill please—" I laughed, shaking my head.
"He seems like a good guy," my mom nodded.
"He is... butttt I'm not about to tell y'all my business like that—" I laughed. "I'm happy, just know, I'm good."
My mom looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "We talking about this later," she said softly.
"Uh why we can't talk about it now???" my auntie yelled from the other side of the kitchen. They was so damn nosy. I didn't mind sharing shit with my mom, but my relationship was not about to be an open discussion between all my aunties, it didn't have shit to do with them.
My mom shook her off and handed me a plate, "Fix him a plate and go on and give it to him," she instructed and I fixed him a plate and called him over. We went to go sit in the backyard away from everyone, kinda watching over some of my cousins who were out back.
"You good?" I asked him as he dug into his food.
"I'm straight—" he shrugged, "me and your dad are cool, he dapped me up and shit I think he likes me,"
I smiled. I didn't say anything but I was relieved. I knew my parents would love him, but I still was nervous about it.
"Me and your dad homies forreal he wants me to join him and your brothers golfing tomorrow," he laughed, "maybe then I'll tell them about how I tear up your pussy on the regular—"
"JERMAINE," I smacked his arm and he erupted in laughter. "I hate your ass," I stood up to go and get myself a plate. I looked back at him and caught him staring at my ass as I walked away so swayed my hips the slightest bit more just to mess with him.
