After talking to Cole, I had to swallow my pride and go and see my parents and talk to them real quick. So, I went upstairs and knocked on their door and slowly let myself in. The tv was on and my dad was watching while my mom sat next to him on her phone. "Can I talk to y'all?"
"Yeah what's up?" my dad reduced the volume of the tv and they both looked up at me. I made my way to the couch at the foot of their bed and sat down.
"Sorry for the way I spoke to you today... I was just irritated—I'm very protective over him...." I said playing with my nails, looking down.
"Aw my baby's in love—" my mom smiled, and I rolled my eyes.
"Chill on that I'm a gangsta ma—"
My dad shook his head, "you think he's husband material?" he raised an eyebrow.
I nodded, "Most definitely... but we're not there yet—" I honestly told him. "Did y'all have fun today?"
"Yeah he's a good guy I like him," my dad told me and I couldn't help but smile huge. "he wasn't scared of my questions either."
"He ain't no punk—straight gangsta business outchea—" I threw up gang signs.
"Tess get out my room," my mom threw a pillow at me and laughed. I jumped up and ran out the room.
"I'm making dinner I'll let you know when it's ready okay love you byeeee," I said as I skipped out their room.
I made my way back down the stairs and found my brothers in the living room with Cole, they were watching a basketball game. I went and sat in his lap and put my finger in my mouth then in his ear.
"Tess what the f—" he pulled back and frowned at me.
"My bad I love how you react to that every time," I laughed, before bringing my lips to his and kissing him slowly.
"Yo chill with that Tess forreal I don't wanna see that," Damien kissed his teeth and Trey laughed, shaking his head.
"You're fucking annoying..." I mumbled.
"Let her live, you know we've done way worse on that couch," Damien's wife, Vanessa said, rolling her eyes at him.
Trey laughed and jumped up and dapped him up, "yo—this couch has seen some things," everyone laughed in response. I got up and took Jermaine's hand and headed towards the kitchen while the rest of them kept talking.
"Why you gotta start shit all time Tess?" he smirked.
"I ain't start nothing... I just wanted to kiss you..." I shrugged, "that all,"
"Aight but when I start reciprocating I don't wanna hear you say nothing," he mumbled before hugging me and slowly gripping my ass.
"You know anyone could walk in here any minute," I looked up at him.
"Why you start something you can't finish then?" he let go of me and I made my way to the fridge.
"Help me make dinner, witcho nasty ass—" I ignored what he said.
I took out pasta, potatoes, veggies, chicken, ribs and pork chops and laid it all out on the counter. I then washed my hands and motioned Jermaine to come over. "What you want me to do baby?" He asked me.
"You can do the mac and cheese... that's the only thing I trust you with,"
"I don't know if I should be offended by that," He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Nah cause it's the truth," she shrugged.
We were in the kitchen helping each other get dinner together for the family when my niece walked in and began to disturb us. I was doing most of the cooking and Jermaine had just finished making mac and cheese so he entertained Nova and played with her while I cooked.
"Baby try this for me," I spoon fed him some of the gravy I'd made.
"Mhm that's good," he nodded, "just add a lil more salt—"
I nodded in response and went to add sauce.
"Auntie why you call him baby when he's a big boy?" Nova asked me, confused.
"He's not a big boy," I told her and she looked at me confused.
"Don't listen to her supernova, she ain't take her meds this morning," Cole gave her a wink and she let out a bellowed laugh.
I flipped him off quickly, before she could see.
"Why you calling her supernova?" I asked.
"Cause it's our thing Tee—mind your business," he smirked.
"Aight then," I put my hands up in surrender. I didn't say anything but it seriously warmed my heart to watch him interact with my family, especially the kids.

After we ate, the family was all gathered around in the living room, watching tv, talking, playing games. I was chilling with my mom and aunts but soon got bored of them so I went to find my nigga.
"Cole cmere real quick," I pulled him away from the game of 2K the guys were playing and we headed out to the backyard.
"Wassup?" he asked me and I took his hand in mine as we sat out on the outdoor furniture.
"Nothing I missed you," I shrugged, playing with his hand and he gave me a soft smile before kissing my forehead.
"You was just with me you needy motherfucke—"
"Don't be an asshole," I pouted and he leaned in and kissed my pouty lips.
"Fix your face I'm playing with you," he pecked me twice.
"I love you," I let my head rest in his chest. "so much..." I felt him wrap his arms around me, pulling me closer.
"I love you too baby," he kissed my forehead.
We sat in a comfortable silence before either of us said anything.
"When are you gonna tell your parents the truth Tess?" he finally asked me.
