When Newt woke up the next morning he found a sleeping Tina wrapped in his arms close against him. He blushed, they didn't fall asleep like this and he was certain Tina wouldn't want to wake up like this, so he slowly tried to move his arms.

Unfortunately he wasn't as sneaky as he would like to be, she woke up with a small yawn. Her eyes opening slowly. It seemed she hadn't even noticed their positions yet. "Morning." She said tiredly.

He bit his lip, "Morning."

She looked down at her arms which were wrapped around his waist and his arm which was underneath her in a almost possessive manner.

He blushed, "Yes it appears we may have moved in our sleep."

She laughed a bit, "maybe we were cold." But she knew that was a lie it was quite warm in their cabin, and she knew she liked Newt enough to move closer to him even in her sleep.

"It's kind of warm though." He whispered

"Then why haven't we moved yet." She asked softly.

Newt blushed again, he wanted to move, but his body seemed to be refusing. "I really couldn't say."

"Did you mean it in your letters when you said you missed me?" She asked,

He nodded, "I've just never really gotten close to anyone since Leta and Sebastian. I've missed the feeling of having someone to care about besides my creatures."

She smiled, "I looked forward to all of your letters. They were the highlight of my week."

"Well they weren't that interesting really, but I can say the same thing about yours. It didn't feel like you were far from me, and I liked that."

Tina noticed that they were even closer to each other now. She could kiss him if she would like too, and she really would like too. But did she really want her and newts first kiss to be on a train in a bed?

Oh mercy Lewis

That sounds so bad in her head. No it definitely couldn't be here and he may not even like her that way.

"Tina are you alright? You suddenly look, stressed."

She snapped out of her thoughts and brought her attention back to reality. "Yes I'm fine." She said smiling at him.

He smiled back, she could feel his hand on her waist and how occasionally he would move his thumb across it.

"In your letters you mentioned a man you worked with at MACUSA." He said after a moment of silence.

She nodded, "Yes he seems to be very interested in me, or at least that's what Queenie says."

He sighed, he looked nervous. "I can't help but feel- jealous about that." He mumbled.

She looked surprised, "really? Why?"

He sighed, "it's just he lives so close to you, works with you and can spend every day with you if he wanted. I have to wait a week for a letter, and throughout that week I'm left wondering about you."

She blushed, "I- well, felt the same about leta. Even after you said you had no contact with her, but after I saw her in your parents house I couldn't help but feel hurt. And I don't even know why. I have no right to be hurt, it's your life."

He gently brushed some hair out of her eyes, "you don't have to worry about leta. She couldn't be mine even if I wanted her to be."

She nodded.

His fingers continued to brush back her hair. "I never had the chance to tell you how lovely you look. Your new haircut suits you."

She smiled, "yeah? I was so self conscious about it for awhile."
