I go out for a jog around the neighborhood. To clear my mind, of course. I had to fix the broken pieces of the puzzle that was my life.
You'd think that a vampire wouldn't go out running on a sunny day like this. Not simply because of the sun, and even with the protecting ring, we still get annoyed by that shiny light in the sky. But because of our super-speed in running, and our inability to get tired of running. Yeah, so there's really no point in getting exercise when you're actually dead.
I couldn't help the burning desire in my chest I had for Damon rising to the surface. Despite my fairy tale romance I had with Stefan for a while, I always knew, somewhere deep in my heart, that Damon always took up a special place in my heart.
I stop in my path as I see Markos flash in front of me. I hardly flinch. I raise my hand to block the sun from shining in my eyes. I scowl at Markos. "Are you done controlling my life or do have something else to ruin?"
He doesn't seem offended.. Well how can a heartless person be hurt?
"I came to let you know that Damon won't be coming back to mystic falls. And you won't be having any more of these silly feelings for him. Your friends are right, Stefan is your epic love."
My glare deepens. "What do you know about love? You have no heart or soul. And... what do you mean.. he won't be coming back to mystic falls?" I take a step back.
"Well, I needed you to take care of business, and drop him out of your life. Then he could drop out of... life."
"What?" My voice is hollow and strong yet hoarse. "You twisted little prick!" I slap him in the face. Hard.
Something in the air shifts, and he seems to freeze with an unreadable expression.
He gradually moves his head back to face me, and his expression now clearly shows one full of menace. In a flash, his hands are on my throat.
"Don't you dare ever try that again.. or I will see to that your entire family is killed." He whispers in a deeper, darker voice.
I gasp for air. I choke out the words, "Already done."
When he lets go, he shoves me to the ground. Blood leaks down my forehead and my lungs desperately catch all the air that they can in a short space of time.
When I look up, he has gone. And as of now, all that is left of him is his finger marks on my throat.
And when I'm done with him, his finger marks are the only thing that will be left to remember of him.

Sorry I took a while to update. If you've voted for this story, thank you lots <3 Seriously appreciate every single one.Hope you enjoyed this chapter, sorry it was so short. I honestly felt to stop it at this point, and it would've been boring and dragged on if I tried to make it longer. But I will try to make it up to you and have the next chapter updated soon and twice as long.
But anyways, stay tuned for the next chapter. :)
