Fifteen- Dustin x Reader

Chapter 1

(Your POV)

"Come on Lily" a voice called, I turned around to see Dustin along with Mike, Lucas, and Will. I smiled and ran over to them. As I neared them everything disappeared around me and I was left in a dark cold world. I was in the Upside Down. I yelled and asked out to see if anyone would hear me.

But no one did and no one came looking for me, I was taken to the lab when I was 10. I knew Dustin and the other during that time and they were the only friends I had until I was taken from the people from the lab. Papa showed me my powers and I learned to control them. I had lost my friends and the only person I had was Eleven. Until I lost her too, I was forced to go into the Upside Down and I never came back out. I had to survive in there with that monster.

I walked around the cold and dark worked until I ran into a school, I walked inside to see four familiar people. I saw Lucas, Dustin, Mike, and Eleven, I smiled sadly knowing that they couldn't see me and I took off before the monster could find me.

I woke up and saw Eleven sitting in front of the tv. Eleven liked keeping it on since it gives her some sense of calmness. I looked at the clock, 7:30. Hopper should be home, I got up to make some dinner.

"Is there anything in particular that you want?" I asked El as I looked in the fridge, it was nearly and empty and I made a mental note to tell Hopper we needed more food.

"Anything is fine" She responded with a smile. El's and my vocabulary has expanded in since we've been trapped in this house. I've been counting the days since I met Eleven in the Upside Down, hoping I get to see the others.

I put three trays of food in the microwave and waited until they were done. I looked at the clock when the food was finished.

I wrapped the trays in foil so the would keep warm and put them on the table, I saw a half-eaten Eggo on the counter and giggled.

"He's going to get angry," I said to El as I walked over to her. She smiled and laid her head on my shoulder when I sat down.

"I was hungry," She said as she focused her attention on the tv.

The past year had been hard for Eleven, I got used to surviving in the Upside Down but when we escaped we went to the woods and had to survive there. We only ate animals we killed and we didn't have any warm clothes.

But Hopper found us and brought us to the cabin that's hidden in the woods. We cleaned it up and made it feel like home. This is where El and I have been hiding ever since. Hiding from the bad men.

"He's late" El muttered, angrily and walked off to our bedroom. I sighed and got up, I headed into the room after her. She was sitting downbeat in the bed and I sat down next to her.

"He'll be home soon," I say and she nods.

"Do you miss Dustin and the others?" El asked me and I look at her, I looked back at the wall and nodded.

"I've missed them the whole time I was stuck in the Upside Down," I said, softly "but I miss Dustin the most. I was closer to him than the others and I miss him."

I could tell that being away from Mike was slowly building up rage inside of El against Hopper. It was his fault that we can't go see them but I understand why he's keeping us inside.

It's too dangerous to go see them, no matter how much we want to.

"We'll see them again soon," I say to her and she lets out a sigh. We both heard Hopper's knock on the door and El got up and let him in. I walk out and see him grab something from the fridge.

"There was no signal," El said to Hopper and I wait for a reply.

"What?" He says back and I roll my eyes while I cross my arms. Hopper and El always disagree on something. I get along with Hopper as if I had been my whole life. I had a feeling that I was supposed to.

"There was no signal. It's 8:15, you are late" El said and I sat down in a chair where the dinner was laid out. I grabbed a tray and fork.

"I lost track of time, I'll signal next time. And it's 8:15, not 8 1 5" He says.

"8:15" El repeats. He looks at her before seeing the half eaten Eggo on a plate in front of us.

"What did I say, no dessert before dinner. That's a rule, yes?" Hopper says while pulling the foil off his dinner. I started eating my dinner and kept quite.

"Yes," Eleven says and Hopper nodded his head. After everyone finished eating their dinner, El said she was going to sleep. She left me and Hopper alone.

"Hopper?" I said, looking up at him.

"Yes, kid?" I wonder if he knows more about my childhood. I can't just be an orphan with a number, can I?

"What's my name?" I asked him, he smiles at me a little before putting the trays away.

"If I knew, I would tell you," Hopper said and came over to me, kissing me on my forehead.

"Goodnight, Fifteen," Hopper said to me as I get up and head to my room.

"Goodnight Hopper," I said before disappearing into my room. I climbed into bed with El and I pulled the covers over us.

"I love you" I whispered to El

"I love you too" El said before we drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow will be day 353. It has to be different.
