Chapter 8

Dustin.....

I smiled a little and he came up to me.

"Lily?" He asked when he came up to me.

"Actually, my real name is Y/N" I laughed as tears came and I hugged him. He hugged back as Lucas came up. Dustin and I pulled apart and Lucas hugged me, which honestly surprised me.

"I can't believe you're here," Lucas said when he let me go.

"Thanks to El," I said as I looked at her.

Hopper had pulled Mike off somewhere because he was overboard reacting about him hiding us the whole time. The girl with the orange hair was going to say something to El but she walked past her and hugged Joyce.

I went up to the girl.

"Hi," I said to her

"Hey," she said "my name's Max"

"Y/N," I said, "nice to meet you."

"Did I do something wrong?" Max asked, motioning towards El

I decided not to tell Max what El saw.

"She'll get used to you, don't worry," I say and walk over to Joyce.

"Hey sweetie," Joyce said as she hugged me.

"Hi, Joyce," I said hugging her.

Hopper came out with Mike and I looked towards them.

"We need to close the gate," Hopper said "I'll take El with me, you kids stay here"

"No! I'm coming too!" I snapped and walked up to him.

"With your leg bleeding like that you're not" Hopper responded

"Well I'll just wrap it then," I said "I need to go, I've been trapped in the Upside Down for three years, I should be able to at least help close it"

Hopper stayed quite, he sighed heavily.

"The answer is still no," Hopper said

"But-" I was cut off by Hopper

"The answer is no, Y/N," Hopper said "so how about you listen to your father for once." I kept my mouth shut and looked away. Hopper left alone with El and Joyce went off to leave the kids alone with Steve. I sat on the kitchen counter as the guys figure out a plan that Steve keeps saying no to. I wrapped my leg in a bandage after I cleaned it as Max came up to me.

"How long have you known the boys?" Max asked me.

I looked up at her and smiled softly. I thought back to it

"I've known them since I was nine" I responded "but I was taken to the lab when I was 10, even when they didn't realize it, I was still there with them. Just in the Upside Down"

Max nodded as they heard a noise. We went over to see a car pull up.

"It's my brother," Max said "he's going to kill me if he knows that I'm here"

Steve went outside and they were talking until Max's brother looked to the window. We all ducked down.

"Do you think he saw us?"

"I don't know" I muttered

Max's brother came in and looked at Lucas. He grabbed him by the throat and pinned him to the wall.

"You stay away from my sister," he said "you got that"

Steve came and punched Max's brother and it started a fight.

"Steve!" The kids cheered and I looked around for something to stop them.

As Max's brother kept punching Steve, Max grabbed a syringe and put it in her brother's neck.

She injected whatever was in it into him. She backed up and grabbed the baseball bat as her brother laid on the ground.

"Stay away from my friends and me," Max said "got it"

Her brother didn't repel you and she hit the bat with nails between his legs, very close to his crotch.

"I said you got it?"

"Yes" her brother responded before passing out.

I looked at the guys as we grabbed Steve and stuff and put them in the car. We grabbed goggles and bandanas to our around our eyes and mouth. I grabbed an ice pack for Steve and I sat in the backseat with Dustin, Mike, and Steve. While Lucas sat in the front passenger seat and Max drove.

Steve started to wake up and Mike looked over at him. He started to sit up and looked to see Max and Lucas driving. They made a quick turned and stopped.

"Come on," Mike said while getting out of the car.

I handed Steve a bandana and goggles and got out of the car with the others. I was holding gasoline in one hand and a lighter on the other. We headed down into the tunnels. I looked around and followed the others.

We made it to the middle and quickly started covering the whole area with gasoline, when we were done we all got out of the way and Steve and I threw the lighters and it all went up in flames.

We started running before the 'Demodogs', as they called them, came after us.
