Fifteen- Dustin x Reader

Chapter 9

We started running as we heard the demodogs start to come. We stopped when we ran into one. 

I saw a marking on it and Dustin went forward.

"Hey Dart," Dustin said as he approached the demodog.

Dustin pulled candy out his pocket and gave it to the demodog and motioned for us to go. We hurried past and Dustin followed us after a few moments. We continued until we got to the entrance and ushered everyone out. I was left down with Steve and the demodogs rushed at us but ignored us.

I watched where they were going and was about to take off when Steve grabbed my arm and made me go. The others helped me and I tried to go back down but was held back by Mike and Dustin as Steve came up.

"No, let me go!" I screamed

"Y/N, stop," Mike said

"No let me go, they're going to the lab, they're going after El!!" I cried out

"LET ME GO!!!"

"No," Mike said, "Hopper said for you not to"

"I DONT CARE!!!" I screamed, "THEY DONT KNOW THEY'RE COMING, LET ME GO!"

Tears were now streaming down my face and I fell to my knees. I punched the ground.

"Just let me go, I need to help them," I said shakily

The others didn't say anything and I took that opportunity to slip back through. I ran through the tunnels as I heard one thing.

"Y/N!!" Dustin yelled

I got out of the tunnel and was outside of the Hawkins lab. I ran inside and up the stairs where I saw a guy sitting on the ground. I stopped and noticed his leg was tied, maybe it was Hopper. I kept running as he watched me.

I made it to a room and saw El trying to close the gate and Hopper with a gun. I ran next to El and helped her out. Hopper noticed me.

"I thought I told you not to come," he said

"The demodogs are coming" I managed to say as I helped El close the gate.

When the words left my mouth I noticed the demodogs coming. I kept the focus on the gate as El and I held up our other hand. Blood poured down our nose and I put more hate and anger into what I was doing.

I heard El scream and watched as the gate started closing. I focused more on what I was doing as blood dripped out of my ears. Soon the gate was closed and I passed out.

I woke up in the room I share with El and I stumbled out of bed. I went into the next room and saw that Hopper was already gone. El was sitting at the table, eating breakfast with a smile.

"What are you happy about?" I asked El as I got toast and warmed it up

"The snowball" El responded "I'm going with Mike"

"Oh," I said and didn't say anything else.

"Come with me," El said and my head snapped towards her

"Are you sure?" I asked her as a small smile crept onto my face

"Yes" El responded and my smile grew

"Ok," I said with a happy tone

I was wearing a purple dress with black converse, my hair was left as normal and I was wearing a necklace with a bass and treble clef heart along with a purple crystal. I messed with the necklace as I walked inside with El.

She looked beautiful with her dress and how her hair was styled and I think Mike would agree. El spotted Mike and went over to him. I looked around and spotted Dustin sitting over to the side.

I walked over to him and stopped when I got in front of him.

"Hey," I said and he looked up at me. It looked like he was crying

"Hey" he responded

I looked behind me to see the others dancing and I turned back to him.

"Want to dance?" I asked him with a smile

"What?" He questioned and I grabbed his hand

"Come dance with me" I responded and pulled him to the dance floor and put my hands around his neck.

We started dancing and I smiled. I could tell that something was on his mind.

"Why, out of all the people here, did you dance with me?" He asked and I was shocked that he would ask something like that.

"Why? Because your sweet, kind, you make my day" I responded with a smile "What I want to know is why your dancing with a freak like me"

"What? Your not a freak" Dustin responded

"Yeah I am, I have powers, I was experimented on by a lab, I'm not exactly your normal girl" I responded

"Your unique not a freak" Dustin responded

"I'm still the broken image of the girl that you use to know," I said looking away

"You're right, you're not the same girl I knew when we were ten," Dustin said and my attention snapped back to him and my heart stopped.

"You've changed and you've grown, you've been through what someone could never imagine going through. The scar that you have on your arm so shows what you've gone through and you didn't let it stop you from moving forward, your brave Y/N. You've faced a Demogorgon, faced the people at the lab, survived the Upside Down. That tattoo on your wrist shows that you didn't give up on escaping or getting out. The scar on your arm from the Demogorgon shows that you fought against that creature even when you were scared. Your brave, your determined, your beautiful and kind." Dustin said

"Will told you about the scars," I said and Dustin nodded. The one most viable scar was a long one that trailed from my shoulder to my wrist and it was from the Demogorgon.

"Y/N, don't think you're a freak or that your broken" Dustin said and I smiled softly.

It was quite for a moment and Dustin did something that surprised me.He kissed me

I was shocked at first but then I melted into the kiss. Dustin led away and we were both blushing.

"I shouldn't have done that," Dustin said "sorry"

"No it's fine," I said with a smile

"I really like you, Y/N" Dustin muttered

"I really like you too" I responded and he smiled

It was after the snowball and Mike had invited us to his house to hang out. Everyone was out of what they were in for the snowball and was in normal clothes. I sat down on the couch next to Dustin as Mike and El sat next to each on the floor along with Lucas and Will.

We all talked and laughed as Dustin slipped his hand into mine and I smiled softly. I hope everything stays normal for awhile.
