Fifteen- Dustin x Reader

Chapter 6

-Flashback-

I was sitting in a cell with cuts in my arms and bruises along my ribs, I had my face buried in my arms. The cell door opened to reveal Papa.

"Come on Fifteen," Papa said and I stood up as he left the room. I followed him to the gate of the Upside Down. I rubbed my arms, I was given regular clothes earlier and now I knew why.

"Now go through the gate," Papa said and I hesitated.

But I went through.

I looked around and walked around until I heard the monster. I turned around and started to run back to the gate but the creature was already there. I run off in the opposite direction as that creature runs off after. After a while, I didn't feel like it was chasing me. I turned around.

It was gone.

It was just suddenly gone. I looked around to see where I was and I realized.

I was back at my foster parent's house.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw the lights flickering off. When El walked in the light turned on again and the channels on the tv were changing until I was met with the familiar static.

I looked at El then her mom. I got up to go get something that would act as blindfolds. When I found two scarfs, I ran over to El and handed it to her.

I sat down next to her as she put the blindfold on. I tied it around my eyes and El took my hand. I let my mind relax and listened to the static until I was in a familiar place with El. She looked at me and motioned to go find someone I want to see. I nodded and headed off.

I listened around for a familiar voice or maybe even voices. I wandered around but didn't find anyone. I sighed and gave up.

I ripped the blindfold off and put it away. I waited for El to be done. I noticed her mom's nose was bleeding and I wonder what was going on with El.

El ripped off her blindfold and looked at me. I wiped her blood and she looked at her mom. She grabbed my hand and pulled me up. She pulled me off to a room and started telling me about what her mom showed her and how we need to find a girl. I nodded at her.

El grabbed a bag and started getting stuff, I stuck my hands in my jacket pockets. She reached her hand to me and I took it. She pulled me out the door and towards a bus stop. We waited until a bus came and we got on.

El pulled out the money and I helped her pay. I walked down until I found two empty seats. I sat down near the window and El sat down next to me.

"Why did your mom send you looking for this girl?" I asked her when she sat down as I stared out the window.

"The girl was with me in the lab" El responded and I looked at her in surprise.

"She escaped?" I asked El and she nodded.

I faced the window again and watched everything move by. I wonder when was the last time I took the bus. It's been a long time, I know that much. Why did I have to be taken, I mean I'm glad I met El but it seems like I would have met her either way even if I wasn't taken to the lab.

I sighed heavily and leaned back in the chair and closed my eyes.

El and I were walking down the street when a man bumped into El.

"Watch where you're going!" The guys said, annoyed.

"Mouthbreather," El said and I smirked as we continued walking.

We turned down an alleyway and kept going until we came to an abandoned warehouse. El and I looked at each other before we went inside. We walked around until a guy came with a knife.

I stared at him and looked at the other people around and saw the stairs going upstairs.

"What are you two doing here," the guy asked us.

El replied with something that I didn't catch. I didn't like the guy in front of us. Something seemed off to me. Something happened and I snapped out of my thought when I heard him screaming something about spiders.

I looked at the staircase to find a girl, I looked at El and she took my hand. The guy tried to grab the knife and El used her powers to bring it to her. I smiled and the girl came up to us.

She showed her wrist to reveal a 008 tattoo and El did the same along with me. She smiled at us and took us upstairs to talk.

I didn't listen to what they were talking about since it didn't concern me. We were outside and I noticed a butterfly.

"It's not real," Kali said.

"Are you real?" El asked touching her face and I giggled along with Kali.

"Yes I am real," she said.

We were in a room with a bunch of pictures of different people. I recognized a few of them from the lab.

"These are the people that hurt us," Kali said "we make sure they pay for what they didn't for us"

El went up to a picture of a man and pulled off.

"Do you know him?" Kali asked and El nodded.

"Do you think you can find him?" Kali asked and El nodded again.
