It was now 10:50pm and I was walking Zurina home.
"Gabe, Gabe, Gabe." I heard a voice whisper in the dead night.
I turned to see who had been calling my name only to see nobody in sight.
"What's wrong?" Zurina asked concerned.
"Do you hear that?" I asked back.
"Hear what?" Zurina asked.
The whisper ran through my ears again.
"Gabe, Gabe."
"There it is again." I said as my eyes surveyed the area.
"I don't hear anything. You're probably just tired." Zurina said then created a portal to my house. "I'll walk the rest of the way home." Zurina said placing her right hand at my left cheek.
"Are you sure?" I asked
"Positive." Zurina ended then placed a gentle kiss on my cheek then continued to walk to her house.
I watched Zurina until she came out of my eyesight then went into the portal.
There was my house. I staggered along the pathway to the front door then teleported inside. I made me way up to my room and crashed into my bed. My road to slumber was disturbed by Ranen's voice in my head telling me to speak to my mom. Even though Ranen and I weren't telepathically linked. Reluctantly, I forced my way out of bed and made my way to my parents room where I could hear my dad's snoaring from outside the door. I opened it silently then held a ball of mana in the air for light. However, my mom was not in the bed. I closed the door silently and immediately knew where she was. I went down to the basement where my mom's meditation chamber was and knocked on the heavy metal door. There was no reply. My mother always used a special code name for it to open but to this day I still don't know how to say it.
"Patanutius!" I cried out expecting the door to open.
I sighed as the door had remained shut. I rubbed the back of my head as I prepared to try again.
"Petinitatus!" I yelled with even higher expectations this time.
Still, nothing happened. I clenched my fists then groaned in anger. I absorbed the matter from the door turning by body and clothes to metal then I punched down the door with ease.
"Wow i'm getting better at thi...." I began commending myself but then was grabbed by a yellow beam of mana and thrown to the ground face first infront of my mom.
My mother did all of this with her eyes closed. My body and clothes turned back to normal as I looked up at my mom who was levitating of the ground in meditation position. She opened one eye to see who the intruder was and I smiled up at her. She closed back her eye then said,
"Gabe you know you're not supposed to interrupt me while I meditate." My mom sighed.
"I had to it's about my mana." I replied as I got of the ground. "It......Changed." I said hesitantly as I cupped my hands and created a white mana ball in them.
My mom came out of meditation position and opened her eyes. Her eyes widened in shock I thought but it was actually in amazement.
"Gabe this is incredible." My mom said as a smile came upon her face.
Hearing those words from my mother turned my concerened face into a smile.
"What happened?" My mother asked.
"We were fighting this villain named Violet Witch - Scarlet Witch's daughter - then she removed me from reality. But I - I - I Came back in Anodite form." I explained.
