I run to the window of my mom's room and look in. Five nurses surrounded her... one giving her cpr... two getting the defibrillator ready to shock her heart... one checking her vitals... one whispering in her ear... the other standing in shock...

Y/N- "MOOOOMMMM!!!!"

The nurse that stood there in shock whips her head around to see me at the window. She quickly closes the blinds and comes out of the room. I cup my hands so people can't see me cry as I collapse to the ground.

Nurse- "Hey sweetie it's okay."

She puts her hand on my back to try and comfort me, but I push her away. She stands up looking defeated and walks away holding back her tears. Meg comes running over from the waiting room.

M- "Y/N... Y/N what's wrong!?"

She collapses by my side and holds me tight. The nurse that tried comforting me walks over to my dad with her head down. My dad stands up.

Dad- "W-w-what's wrong?"

Nurse- "I-I-I'm so sorry."

The nurse's eyes don't leave her feet.

Dad- "What!? What happened?!"

Nurse- "I'm sorry... her heart stopped... we are trying to get her pulse back..."

My dad grabs his head in disbelief.

Dad- "No. No no no... No!"

Nurse- "I'm sorry..."

The nurse leaves my dad alone as he collapses back into his seat. Tears start flowing out of his eyes. Meg looks at my dad and sees something is wrong. She stands up and looks through a little slit in the blinds. All she sees is my mom about to get her heart shocked. I hear the faint sounds of the nurses inside... "3.... 2..... 1.... CLEAR!!!" I hear my mom's body thump as it hits the bed after her lifeless body gets shocked. I let out a quiet shriek. And I hear the words again "3... 2... 1.... CLEAR!!" Then the thump of her body again. Then the sound of the monitor go blank with her pulse. Everything in the world seemed to stop. Everything felt like it was in slow motion. "COME ONNNN!!! 3... 2... 1... CLEAR!!" a nurse screams inside. Meg's eyes clench shut and her grip around me tightens. "You have to give up John.... She's gone" "NO!!... 3... 2... 1.... CLEAR!!!" and the sound of my mom's body hitting the bed once again. "....John... please..." "No I can't... she has a daughter..." "I know... but you have to let her go..." there was a pause until I heard the words I hoped I'd never hear... "Time of death... 5:53pm..." Meg's teary eyes quickly open. She grabs my phone and texts Daniel "She needs you" Meg started crying even more. She throws my phone at the wall and grabs her head. Her tears not stopping. I can hear her scream "whyyyy" very quietly. I never let go of my legs. I can't move... I feel paralyzed lying here on the hospital floor outside of my mom's room. I hear the door open and the footsteps of the nurses come out. The one nurse, John, comes out and looks down to see Meg and I lying outside. He covers his face and stops the tears. He had no idea we were here... I hear the footsteps walk away until they turned into nothingness and Meg and I lay there in complete silence... Memories of my mom flood my brain. I see her kissing me on the cheek when I lost my teddy bear, but she found it... her kissing me goodnight... her sending me off to school... her laughing at one of my stupid jokes... her hugging me telling me everything will be okay... her watching a movie with me... her singing the songs I played in the car before the concert... I just want to see her smile again... I want to tell her I love her... I want to tell her I'm sorry... I just want her back. I hear my dad scream "NOOO!!!" he must have gotten the news I thought. I then hear the doors to the hospital slammed closed... he left...

*10 minutes later*

I hear footsteps running toward me, but I can't move. I can't look up to see who it is. They say something... I think my name, but everything sounds foggy. I feel their arms tightly wound around me... I know this hug... it's... it's Daniel...

*Daniel's POV*

I hug y/n so tightly I wasn't even sure she is breathing. I don't know what happened, but next to y/n Meg laid there crying nonstop. I slowly release my grip around y/n and stand up. I look into her mom's room to see her lifeless body laying there with the monitor beeping telling us she flatlined... no... no... god no... please no... I quickly go back to y/n and hug her to the point where I couldn't feel my arms...

She's gone...

*Your POV*

She's gone...
