Crashing Down Chapter 6

*Your POV*

Meg walks over to me...

M- "Am I crazy or was that Daniel that just walked out?"

Y/N- "No you're not crazy. He came to check on me."

M- "No way are you serious?!"

Y/N- "Yeah so. What's the big deal?"

M- "He came to make sure you are okay. Have you ever seen him go to other fans whose parents are in the hospital?"

Y/N- "No, but I'm sure he would if he knew they were."

M- "No joke I think he likes you."

Y/N- "Hah. Yeah sure."

I begin to feel my cheeks blush. No stop. Think about your mom.

Y/N- "I'm gonna go check on my mom."

As I turn around I hear someone call my name. I turn around to see Daniel once again. He was out of breath with his hands on his knees.

Y/N- "Um hello? Are you good?"

He catches his breath...

D- "Yeah I'm good."

Y/N- "Why are you here again?"

Meg punches my arm.

M- "Don't be rude."

"Sorry" i mutter.

D- "I'm back because I forgot to ask for your number-"

I fake laugh.

Y/N- "Are you serious? Why do you want my number? You really didn't care about my mom... you just wanted my number. Wow."

D- "No you didn't let me finish. I wanted your number so you could tell me if anything happens with your mom. And I want to make sure you and your father are okay too."

I look at the floor embarrassed.

Y/N- "Oh."

M- "Well give the boy your number. He looks like he just ran a marathon for it. Dude it's Daniel Seavey. If he was asking for my number I wouldn't think about it."

Y/N- "Sorry."

I grab a napkin from the bag of food we had and a pen from the check in counter. I wrote my number down and handed it to him. I look at Meg.

Y/N- "Can you give us a minute?"

M- "Yeah sorry of course."

I watch as Meg goes to the waiting room and sit down next to my dad.

Y/N- "Hey I'm sorry."

D- "For what?"

Y/N- "The way I've been acting. I'm sorry it's just a lot with my mom and all. I'm really so-"

D- "Hey y/n you don't need to apologize. I get it."

My eyes tear up as he lifts my head and pulls me into a hug. I release his waist and let out a laugh as I back out of the hug and wipe my tears away.

D- "What?"

Y/N- "Nothing I just realized Daniel Seavey is here hugging me while I wait for my mom to recover. And that he has my number. It's funny... I never thought I'd meet you and now here we are."

Daniel laughs.

D- "I'm glad I met you... hey do you want to go on a walk? You know get out of here for a little."

I almost said no, but I heard Meg's voice say 'your mom will still be here' in my head. When will this chance ever come again. My mom would want me to.

Y/N- "Yeah sure."

He opens the door for me. I see Jack, Zach, Jonah, and Corbyn sitting in the car outside.

Z- "Oh hey y/n how are you?"

Y/N- "I'm fine."

I turn toward Daniel confused why they are here.

D- "Hey guys y/n and I are going on a walk so you guys can go home. I'll just get an uber back."

Jo- "Are you sure?"

Daniel looks at me and smiles.

D- "Yeah I'm sure."

Fireworks start going off in my stomach. Oh my god. That smile. That tooth gap. Those eyes. I think I could be dead. He is so cute.

D- "Ready?"

Y/N- "Yeah."

The boys drive off and we start walking.

*Two hours later*

We finally get back to the hospital.

Y/N- "Thanks Daniel. That helped a lot."

D- "Hey no problem. Just call me if you need me."

I blush a little and look at the floor.

Y/N- "Thanks... I should get back to my mom."

I give him a hug and he leaves. I have a big smile on my face as I walk the hallway towards my mom's room. A nurse pushes me and runs into a room. I snap out of it and my smile fades. The room he ran into was... 223... my mom's room...
