*Pulling into the driveway at your house*

I look over at my dad with anger and sadness.

Y/N- "Get out."

He doesn't move a muscle he just continues to stare at his feet.

Y/N- "I said get out!"

Once again he doesn't move and the anger and emptiness build up inside of me.

Y/N- "I. Said. Get. The. Hell. Out!!!"

After I said that his eyes met mine. I could see the foggy film of tears covering his dark brown eyes. I quickly turn the other way and look out the window. I nervously bite my finger nail waiting for him to leave. He opens the door and gets out, but doesn't close the door. Instead he stands there as if he is waiting for something.

Dad- "Well aren't you coming?"

Y/N- "No."

Dad- "Where are you going to stay."

I turn to him revealing my red heated face.

Y/N- "I'd rather be homeless than live with you right now."

I could tell those words hit him like a brick wall because he looked back at Meg and Daniel who had their heads down, and he made a loud gulp. I quickly regret saying those words, but it was true. I turn back to the window and I hear the car door slam shut. I couldn't move, feeling as if I were paralyzed. I feel a cold hand touch my shoulder making me jump. After realizing it is just Daniel's hand, I lean back in the car seat and close my eyes.

D- "Y/N, I-I'm so sorry..."

After about five minutes of silence I feel Daniel's cold hand leave my shoulder.

M- "Y/N... what happened?"

I open my eyes and turn to her.

Y/N- "My dad is an alcoholic and when I was little he used to scream at my mom and I. We hoped it would never goes as far as him hurting us, which it didn't. But, at the bar he punched Daniel."

Meg's eyes drop to her lap, but back up to meet my eyes.

M- "Why didn't you tell me?"

Y/N- "Because he was still an amazing father... I don't know... I really don't."

Meg's hand touches my shoulder to try and comfort me.

M- "I'm sure my parents will let you stay with us... trust me y/n... he loves you so so much. Probably more than anything in the world. And it seems like he didn't know he had a problem, but now that he does... I really think he will get help. I don't think he would ever want to lose you. Hell, if someone did they're stupid because you're the kindest person I know. It's honestly an honor to call you my best friend."

A small smile quickly flickers across my face, but quickly fades when I remember all of the pain. Meg starts to rub my shoulder and gives a friendly, sorrowful smile.

M- "Hey, it's getting late I'll drive Daniel home then we can get an uber back to my place cause it's his car."

D- "No it's fine you can take my car I can pick it up later."

M- "Awe thank you."

I crawl over to the shotgun seat while Meg crawls up front into the driver's seat. She starts the car and drives off.

*An hour later*

We finally get to Daniel's huge house.

D- "Thanks for the ride."

I see Daniel look at Meg yawning and rubbing her eyes, then at the clock which read 1AM.

D- "OMG it's 1AM!! You must be tired Meg."

M-"I am, but it's fine."

D- "No, I don't want another accident. Why don't you guys stay the night."

M- "Are you sure?"

D- "Yeah we have an extra room."

Y/N- "Thanks Seavey."

D- "Seavey?"

Y/N- "Sorry... Daniel."

D- "Nah I like it... Seavey..."

A small smile reveals his little tooth gap making a smile peek through the pain... maybe I will get through this... maybe...
