My Peace

You kept communication with me
Over unconditional time with your family
Because you knew what my holidays were like normally
You listen to me cry and complain
Without saying a thing
And you hold me and motivate me until i feel sane again
Usually my words cast out hurt
And me not believing you cherish my worth
But you take it all in stride, you ignore my pride, and you still make me feel like the luckiest person alive
When you asked me what is this i couldn't answer because i couldn't just simplify
That you're my bestfriend, my peace, and sometimes the reason why I cry
That you're the person I love the most and sometimes even I can't understand why
You're my sunshine on the gloomy days and my truth in all the lies
I'm completely thankful for the light that you helped place back into my eyes
I've face some really dark days and only you would make the sun shine
Whether it's wing stop and movies while drinking wine
Or it's joking and talking about dreams and aspirations on FaceTime
Or how you've managed to capture my heart through all this time
One year isn't much to most
But it's the period of time where my life changed for the better
Because in that time when I felt broken you held me together
I did something I never do and I let you see all of me
The good times, the bad vibes, and you even stayed through the ugly
And in the end you still show love to me
And I'll always and forever love you just because you truly love me
And that's something I've never had, you see
So i apologize for the fear I have because after a year, these feelings still feel new to me
Because some days you're my crush, my love, and my enemy
Some days I'm scared to lose you and some you're the sole contributor to my energy
So I'm completely thankful that God brought you to me
And showed me that someone could love me if I just things be
And Someone could understand me without me always having to speak
And throughout the chaos and anxiety, that I would have someone to be my peace
