No More Hope

Day 12:
Lance felt...

There was no way to describe it, really.
He was empty, nothing, a shell of what he used to be.
It was as if a black hole had swallowed every last bit of what made him him, leaving only his body behind.

His heart was shattered, his spirit broken.
He had finally realized,
There was no hope for him.

Day 13:
It had come to the point where even Hagger was worried about him.

"What are you looking at?" She hissed, for the third time that day.
Lance didn't answer, continuing to stare out into space (quite literally).

Hagger huffed, stomping her foot.
"Look at me you ungrateful rat!"

Lance gave a half-hearted gasp.
"Oh wow. You're so scary. Look how I'm trembling." He jazz-handed (that's not a word but like... jazz hands) weakly.

Hagger glared at him, trying to burn him with her gaze.

"No, really," Lance pressed on. "I'm positively quivering."

Hagger felt like screaming (she couldn't throw a chair as she seemed to have broken all the ones in the ship?).

"Look at me!" She shouted, blasting her magic at Lance forcefully.
Lance groaned, the (now familiar) pain hitting his skull and tearing his mind apart.

"Give it a rest lady!" Lance shouted, as soon as his head stopped dying. "You've done it. Broken my spirit or whatever. Isn't that what you wanted?"

Hagger seemed to perk up.
"Oh that's all this is about? Excellent."
As she flounced out of the room, Lance couldn't bring himself to care... about anything, really.

Day 14:
Another miserable day passed, and Lance found himself in the awkward position of being in the same room as both the Commander and Lotor.

The Commander gave him his dismal meal as usual, only a bit surprised at the lack of banter coming from the prisoner. It happened to everyone held captive here, sooner or later they broke down. He had had hope for the kid, but he too had fallen subject to exactly what the Galra wanted.

However, when Lotor walked in the room, spouting apologies- that surprised the Commander a lot.

The thing that surprised him most though? Lance accepting the apologies (somewhat reluctantly) and giving a weak smile.

The Commander smirked. As it seems, he still had hope for the kid.

Day 15:
Lance woke up bright and early to a room filled with people.

Hagger stood as usual, her ugly face looming over him. Surrounding her were about seven druids.
Great way to start off the day, huh?

"Brought back-up today?" Lance asked. "Going soft on me now? Can't handle me on your own anymore?"

Hagger didn't take the bait, instead blasting him in the chest with as much power she had.
"No." She began happily. "I was just a bit bored. If you prove to be entertaining today I might give you a little break from me for a while. If not, well... this'll be fun anyways."
