Zayn’s Point Of View

The boys and I were all downstairs in our neighbors’ house to have dinner. They told us that the girl staying here will have to hang out with us a lot because they will be at work.  While we were talking a beautiful girl came walking down the stairs. She looked so familiar; I knew that I have seen that long brown hair and bright blue eyes someplace else before. The plane. Ashley. I couldn’t believe that it was really her walking down the steps. I was so excited to spend some time with her. She looked oblivious of her surroundings until her eyes glanced at me. She stopped, gasped, and blushed. The boys looked over to me and smiled.

Ashley’s Point Of View

Oh my god. I can’t believe this. Zayn Malik, the one from the plane and One Direction was in my house and becoming my new neighbor.

“Ashley say hello to our guests,” my aunt told me.  Great. I waved hello to their manager Paul and walked over to harry, Niall, Louis, and Liam. They all greeted me and waved. Now it was Zayn’s turn.

“Hello love, nice to see you again,” he told me while pulling me into a tight hug.

“Hello Zayn,” I said. I don’t know why but for some reason I felt a connection between us. We saw each other on the plane and now he’s my neighbor, this must be a sign from the gods! No, Zayn Malik would never like a girl like me. I sighed and helped my aunt set the table.  For dinner we were having a chicken and potatoes with carrots on the side. Yum! Chicken was one of my favorite foods! We all grabbed a seat. Paul was at the head of the table, next to my aunt. Then it was Harry at the other end sitting next to Niall and Louis. I was in the middle of Zayn and Liam. This was going to be an interesting night.

Zayn’s Point Of View

I am sitting next to Ashley and I was excited to get to know her better.

“So Ashley what brought you here to England?” I asked. She looked at me with tears forming in her eyes. She got up and ran upstairs, I’m guessing to her bedroom or the bathroom. Ashley’s aunt excused herself from the table and she ran upstairs after her. The room was silent and I felt bad so I thought that I could run after her and see if I did anything wrong. I felt the boy’s eyes watching me while I exited the room to check on Ashley. Running up the steps, I went to see Ashley and her aunt in her room staring at a picture frame. I overheard some of their conversation.

“…Ashley it’s all going to be okay…”

“…You just need time to adjust…”

“…I miss them too…”

While her aunt was talking I heard sniffles and noses being blown. Whatever I brought up it must have been big. Stepping in front of the door, Ashley’s aunt saw me and pulled me into the hallway.

“I’m so sorry…I didn’t know that anything was wrong…I shouldn’t have asked that-“

“Zayn don’t worry it’s not your fault. Just go in and talk to her.” While she walked away, probably into the kitchen to apologize, I went into the room. Ashley was still on her bed crying and when she saw me she tried to hide the tears.

“Ashley you don’t have to hide your tears from me,” I whispered. I let her cry into my shoulder; before I knew it she was sobbing, making my shirt wet. I didn’t care about my shirt; the only thing I cared about was making her happy.

As soon as she stopped crying I told her, “Ashley I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to bring anything up that you didn’t want to talk about.”

Looking up at me she responded, “Its okay Zayn, you didn’t know. It wasn’t your fault. I totally over reacted. “

“Is there anything I could do to make you feel better?” I asked her. All I wanted to do was help her, she deserved to be happy.

“Yes, I want to tell you what really happened.” I nodded and she told me the whole story about how school started the ride to the hospital, seeing her family on those machines dead, and the ride here. I couldn’t say anything so I just pulled her into a tight hug.

“I’m so sorry that, that happened to you Ashley. I can’t even imagine.” She nodded and pulled away.

“Well we should probably go back downstairs now,” she told me and I followed her out into the room. I couldn’t believe how strong she was. Now I knew that I had feelings for my next door neighbor, Ashley Fields.

Ashley’s Point Of View

Zayn was one of the sweetest people I knew. He’s so different than everyone else. He actually cares about me, that’s about every girls dream. I told him that we should go back down stairs because the other guests were waiting and every time I was with him I got nervous. I led him out of the room I knew one thing.  I had feeling for Zayn Malik. When we went downstairs it turned out that everyone else left because they didn’t want to intrude. Zayn hugged me one more time and said “Goodbye love.” I blushed, smiled, and responded “Goodbye Zayn, thank you for everything.” He left and my aunt knew what was going on.

“Somebody got bit by the love bug,” she teased. I smiled, ran upstairs, and started jamming out to Tell me a lie, one of my most favorite songs.

“Tell me I’m a screwed up mess, that I never listen, listen. Tell me you don’t want my kiss, that you need your distance, distance. Tell me everything, but don’t you say it’s what your missing baby. If he’s the reason that you’re leaving me tonight, spare me what you’re thinking. Tell me a lie. Woahh. Tell me a lie. Woah. Tell me a Lie. Tell me a lieeeeeeee.”

His vocals at the end almost made me melt. I couldn’t wait to hang out with him and the rest of the boys all day tomorrow!
