New Cat

"I can't believe you are letting me get a cat." You said excitedly as you and Taylor are on your way towards the animal shelter to adopt a cat.

"I know you loved cats since you were growing up. So you also deserve to have one as well when I have three." Taylor said.

"Four. We are going to have 4 cats. We are officially a crazy cat lady couple." You said and Taylor laughed.

"Meredith is going to hate me for a least two months." Taylor said and laughed.

You walk into the animal shelter shop, and a woman at the front desk smiles at me.

"Hello. How may I help you?" She asks kindly.

"I'm thinking about getting a new cat today." You replied.

"Great. What kind are you looking for?" The woman asks.

"Any kind. Just as long as it's cute." You said and the women laughed.

"Follow me. We have a new litter today." The women said and opened a door and walked into the back of the shop.

"Do you have any other cats at home?" The woman asked.

"Yes I have three so far. Meredith who is six years old. Olivia who is five years old. And Benjamin who is one years old." Taylor said.

"Wow. You have quite the collection." The woman joked laughing.

"Yeah. I'm a cat person." Taylor said.

"Here they are." The woman said

You look in to see ten baby kittens laying in a small bed or some playing with a ball of yarn on the floor.

"Oh my god." You squealed excitedly

You falling in love with them all instantly. But sadly can only take one of them home.

As you're looking at them one kitten got your attention. There is one small cat with white fur with some brown spots in its fur. The cat has the bluest eyes you've ever seen.

"Can I see that one?" You ask pointing to it.

"Oh Y/N that's one is one of the boys." The woman said .

The woman opened the cage and picked the kitten up and passing him on to me.

You grab the kitten and he has the softest fur you've have ever felt.

"Oh my god you are so cute." You said.

The kitten looks at me and the kittens eye's are even more bright blue up close.

The kitten meows making my heart melt.

"Awww." You said.

"Is that the one?" Taylor asked asked.

"I think so." You said smiling.

"Wonderful! Follow me up front so you can sign some paperwork." The women said.

We went up front and signed some papers saying that this kitten is now mine.

"He is all your's. What are you going to name him?" The women asked.

"Trueman." You said. Based off of The Trueman Show. You always loved that movie growing up.

"What a beautiful name." The worker said signing his name on a piece of paper.

"He is all your's now." The woman said having me the paperwork.

"Thank you so much!" You said happily grabbing the paperwork.

You and Taylor walked out of the animal shelter and got into the car.

"To the pet store please." Taylor said to the driver.

We arrived at the pet store and I bought all the things a new kitten would need. Food, milk, some cat toys, a new cat bed. I bought the things and. Went back into the car.

"Let's go home." You said and drive home.

We arrived home walked into the house, you placed Trueman's  cat carrier on the ground and got him out.

"Meredith, Olivia, Benjamin! You have a new brother!" Taylor shouted into the house and you laughed.
