(y/n) - your name

The rest of the day was slow and dark. Adrien was quiet the whole day, what he saw still etched sharply in his mind. He didn't speak, didn't eat. Just started out into space. You were worried deeply for him, tried to get him to eat, to speak to you. Eventually there was night fall and Adrien had gone to bed early. Gabrielle hasn't come home yet as you paced the living room. Izzy was worried for you, staying up along side with you as well as Plagg.

"(y/n), you need to sleep." Izzy sweet voice echoed but you continued to pace.

"Izzy, i have a bad feeling about all this. I don't think we were meant to find Gabrielle's lair. Not yet anyway." you frown, you head pounding slightly. Shaking your head, you sit down on the couch, your leg bouncing up and down as your head was resting on your hand. You suddenly stand up and head to Gabrielle's lair once again.

"(y/n). Where are we going?" Plagg asks, his mouth full of Camembert.

"To the lair. I need to show Marinette."

"What if Hawkmoth is there?" Izzy whisper yells out. Determined, you pass Adrien's room. You stop short, glancing at his door. Your heart sinks as you open the door slowly to reveal Adrien asleep. You walk up to him slowly, sitting at the edge of the bed by his legs. You lean over, moving his soft hair to the side to reveal him in tears. Shocked, you wipe them away, kissing his head. Adrien smiles softly, leaning into your hand and you smile softly.

"I'm so sorry Adrien. To cause you this much pain. First your mother, and now your father. This is all my fault." sighing, you get up and leave the bedroom, closing the door behind you carefully. You turn to the floating kwamis and shake your head. "Both of you can't come. If he is there, i don't want to risk the two of you. Stay here and look after Adrien. But don't tell him where i am. I need to figure this out." the kwamis were about to reply back but you glare at them softly and they nod their heads.

"Ok (y/n)." both reply and you hug them softly.

"I don't want to put you two in danger." they nod and you start to walk off again, heading to your enemies secret lair.

You were looking around the bedroom, looking for that familiar purple butterfly paperweight but find it to be nowhere in sight. You grumble under your breath, fumbling around in the dark, trying to find the passageway door.

"Looking for something?" suddenly the lights turn on and a deep angry voice resonates in the room. Holy fucking shit! You grab your shirt, right above where your heart is, almost jumping at your spot from the suddenness. You turn around slowly, feigning an innocent smile.

"Oh hi there Mr. Agreste. I must've entered the wrong bedroom. The light was turned off." you laugh lowly, walking past him as you feel his eyes bore holes in your head.

"Looking for this?" you slowly turn your head and stare at the purple glass figure sitting in the palm of Gabriel's hand. You gulp and look away before exposing yourself. That was stuck on the table though!?

"I don't know what your talking about sir. It's pretty late. I'll head to bed now." speaking quickly, you head out the door and run as fast as your legs could take you. You run to the foyer, ending up in front of the great painting that is Adrien's mother. You glance up and something draws you to the painting. You suddenly remember that there was a safe behind the painting and start to find a button of some sort. Much to your luck, Gabriel had forgotten to lock the safe or close the painting properly, the painting left open just slightly. Opening it, you find the safe unlocked and scoff at how Gabriel was not careful at all. You hesitate to open the safe, thinking that maybe this was on purpose. "If the books missing, he's going to find out. Thank god theres technology." taking out your phone, you slowly open the safe door, waiting for an alarm to go off. No shrill alarms goes off in the house and you quickly take out the contents and take an image of it, along with the multiple pages from the book. Shutting the door after placing everything back as it was, you head back upstairs to Adrien's room. Entering Adrien's bedroom, you quietly close the door and fall down to the ground, your heart hammering in your chest. You cursed in your head knowing that you were caught in Gabriel's room but weren't when you had opened the safe. That seemed way too easy for me to get away with images like that. Somethings not right at all. Sitting there for a while, you try to figure out what Gabriel will do now that he knows you're onto him. You suddenly get a sinking feeling in your stomach. Not knowing what this might be and ignoring the feeling, you slip into Adrien's bed. Adrien wakes up slowly as he feels movement, rubbing his eyes as he nuzzles his head into your neck.
