A year had gone after everything that happened that night. After everything Adrien had heard on the news that night. He didn't believe that you were truly gone. He didn't believe that you had died. He believed that you would return home to him. Return home to hug him, to kiss him. Return home so he could see your smile, hear your laughter. He waited everyday outside his front door. Waiting all night for you too come back. But you never did.

Everything seemingly had gone back to normal. People smiled, people talked, people laughed. It was as if you never existed. But you did. But you had. You would be remembered everyday by so many people, hidden in the back of their minds. Everyone tried to go back to how things were. But it was difficult. Especially for Adrien.

Everyone tried to happy around him, for his sake. But he never smiled once. He couldn't. Not until you returned home. Adrien would do everything like his schedule had told him to do, but would not once smile, not even for the photoshoots. Gabriel had threatened to take Adrien out of school if he didn't smile for the shoots. Adrien listened. He would smile but as soon as the last picture was taken, it would disappear. No one could make Adrien smile. No one could take his necklace away from him. He wore it everywhere and never once took it off. Adrien couldn't. It was the last thing that remind him of you. Your smile when you had hugged him, the tears you shed from how happy you were to get one. Adrien would hold this necklace, even in his sleep. He would cry holding it.

Akuma was gone. He was never seen again and Adrien was happy. He just wished you were here to see that day when Akuma had disappeared into smoke by the hands of Hawkmoth. Adrien had realised that (g/n) was actually dead but was kept alive through Hawkmoths power. (g/n) only will of survival was you. When he heard you were gone, so did he. He held no purpose left for Hawkmoth since you were gone so Hawkmoth got rid of him. After that, the akumatized people seemed to get much stronger, ever since Hawkmoth had gotten his powers back from keeping (g/n) alive.

All in the span of a few months, the duo team of Chat Noir and Ladybug expanded to permanently recruit 3 more heroes. Rena Rouge, Queen Bee and Carapace. More villains had been akumatized daily, each one stronger than the last. It was difficult to keep up for Adrien since he was constantly reminded of you being Wolf. Adrien had no will to fight the villains and sometimes would not help the heroes. He could not transform.

On most nights, Adrien would transform, but only to take a breather. Every time he did, he could of sworn that he felt eyes peer at him whenever he was alone. He felt these eyes ever since the news. Adrien wasn't scared. No. Adrien felt a sense of calm and security from this feeling of someone looking out for him. Adrien always thought who this person was that was looking out for him and if they protected him during the day time as well. Adrien would always be able to smell a waft of faint rose, the warmth of their stare. Adrien would see a figure jump away from the corner of his eyes whenever he left to go home. They always wore a hoodie, their face obscured. Adrien always thought that this was (y/n) and that why he believed she would return home to him.

"Adrien." Adrien looked up from the piano to stare at his father who was looking back at him in anger. Gabriel softens a little, seeing Adrien look back down at the piano. He sighs, feeling Adrien's negative energy increasing quickly. He knew that Adrien would be his strongest akumatized villain if he waited a little longer. Gabriel didn't want to akumatize his only son, but he had too. He needed to wait for the right time.
