Worth It

We made it home. As soon as we walked in, Tord rushed over to me and bombarded me with questions. I told him that I would fill him in on what happened after I put away my uniform away. I then went upstairs. Instead of listening to me and waiting, Tord followed me. I didn't mind, though.

We entered my room. I went over to my dresser to put away the uniform, while Tord went and sat down on the edge of my bed, watching me.

It's not exactly a difficult task to put away an outfit, so I did that pretty quickly. Afterwards, I went and sat on my bed next to him. He asked me questions, and I gave him answers.

I also told him about how Phoebe and Redger worked there. "They're the people we met at the park! 'Member?" I asked him. He seemed pretty intrigued. "Wow, really? Ain't that something..."

After that, it was quiet for a few awkward minutes. That's when I stood up and went over to my window and pulled aside the curtain, looking outside at the hills.

Tord chuckled in the backround. "So now you want to look out your window, after you've bought your curtains?" he asked with a hint of tease. I rolled my eyes and looked at him with a smile. "Oh, shush. It's nice outside today."

He cocked his head to the side. "Why don't we go outside, then?" he asked. I turned to him. "Go out...?" I asked reluctantly. I didn't really want to go out again. But, he shook his head. "We can just go out into the yard. There are hills behind the house. We can go there." he told me, smiling. I smiled at this as well. "Well, in that case, I don't see why not!" I said brightly.

Shutting my curtains, I went downstairs, him following. He led me to the backdoor, which I didn't even know we had. He held it open for me, and I stepped out. I was in awe.

The hill was pretty tall, I'm surprised it isn't considered a mountain. Okay maybe that's exaggerating but still. At the top of the hill, there was a flat area. I thought that it would be a good place to have picnics or go stargazing. And then, the hill itself...it was covered with summer dandelions! There were so many...

I felt a grin forming as Tord stood beside me. "You like it, don'tcha?" he asked. I nodded. "Duh!" And then, I ran off.

I ran up to the flat top of the hill, and fell into the grass, giggling. I felt like a little kid out here. And the grass felt sooo soft...

I lied there for a few more moments before sitting up again and picking some dandelions. There were so many, I could make a huge bouquet! Of course, that wasn't what I was gonna do with them...

As I picked them, Tord came up the hill and sat beside me, watching me. We didn't speak, as I was focusing on what I was making, and he didn't want to interrupt me. Instead, he just focused on me, smiling as I worked.

A while afterwards, I finally finished what I was making. "Done!!" I accidentally yelled, causing Tord to jolt up. After some time of watching me, he had lied down in the grass and watched the clouds. "What is it?" he asked after gathering himsef. Smiling big, I picked up my creations. I'd made two of the same thing; dandelion flower bracelets. I slid mine onto my arm, giggling as I admired it. Then, I looked at him, lifting the other one up. "Gimme your arm!" I instructed. He complied, lifting his arm to me. I gently grabbed his wrist, and slid his bracelet onto him. "There ya go!" I said happily, pulling back. He pulled his arm to him, twisting it slightly, examining his bracelet. He slowly started smiling.

He brought his gaze to my grinning figure. "I really like it, Y/N. Thank you." he said warmly. I chuckled. "Yay!" Then, I hugged him. Because, well, why not? He hugged back, of course. We stayed like that for a few minutes.

After we both pulled away, we lied back in the grass and stared up at the clouds. It was in silence for a while, before we started talking to each other. We used our time to learn things about each other, and just talk about random things. Things like shoes and Africa and the color orange and swans. Nothing in particular, just pleasant small talk that wasn't really small.

Sometime during our talking out here, our hands had entwined, giving us a link. I swear, I could feel energy rushing through me. I didn't use it, though. I was having too much fun out here.

We talked for hours. I was surprised to realize that the sky had darkened. I sat up. "Should we head inside?" I asked him. With one arm behind his head, he used his other to push me back down. "Nah. Let's look at the stars...they're beautiful tonight." he said, sort of quietly. He was looking up at the sky with widened eyes, as I soon saw. Listening, I lied back again, and looked up. He was right; it was beautiful. It was breathtaking, even. I stared at it in an almost trance-like way.

Because of my transe sort of thing, I barely noticed Tord shuffling next to me. It wasn't until he came into my view, going on all fours above me. My eyes widened in confusion. "Uh, Tord...?" I questioned. He came closer, a faint blush on his face, along with a smile. "Y'know...you look really pretty out here." he whispered before kissing me. My face heating up, I kissed back. His hands were still in mine, so he was sort of pinning me down. We continued to kiss for a minute or two before I remembered that we were outside, and I lightly bit his tongue, making him pull away, confused. "We're outside, Tord. Think this is a bit too much?" I asked him, smiling sweetly at him. He looked at me blankly for a moment before nodding and blushing a bit darker, going beside me again. "Right, sorry." he apologized, scratching the back of his head. I giggled and pat his floof. "No worries, love."

He gave me another smile, and then looked down towards his feet. I continued smiling up at the stars, sort of ignoring him. Then, he hugged me from the side. It definitely surprised me. "Eh- Tord?" I questioned for the second time tonight. "Sorry. It's just- I-" he thought for a moment, "you're really warm." I looked at him for a moment. He was already curled against me. To be honest, he looked really small this way. It was pretty fricken' cute. So, I hugged back. "You are too." I said. We wound up in a cuddling position somehow, but were still able to look at the stars. I enjoyed it.

After we were in this position for a while, Tord's breathing slowly steadied. I looked over at him to see his eyes shut and his mouth ever so slightly opened. I smiled. He was sleeping. Of course, he was still holding me, so I couldn't really go anywhere. Instead of trying to get away or wake him up, I simply reached up and pecked him on the lips. Then, I got as comfy as possible.

Soon enough, I fell asleep as well, curled into him. Sure, we would probably wake up with colds, but hey.

It's worth it.
