Eddsworld Tord x reader - Strangely Sweet

Shopping for Attention PART 1/2

I woke up at about 10 A.M. I looked around my room, confused as to how I even got there. Then I remembered last night, and what Tord had said.

"If ya do get tired, you can just fall asleep right here. I'll make sure you get to your room."

I smiled as I knew he had told the truth. How sweet, I thought. After a moment, I got up and went over to my dresser. I should probably get some new clothes, I thought. For now, though, I'll use what I have. Seeing as it's summer, I changed into something light. I put on a pale F/C tank top and a pair of cuffed dark blue jean shorts. I put on sandals, put my H/L hair up into a ponytail, and grabbed my phone, sliding it into my pocket. Then, after quickly smiling at my stuffed F/A, I left the room. Looking back at my blank door for a moment, and then at the others' doors, which each had a poster on them, I decided to head to the mall to get the clothes, so I could also get a poster for mine.

I headed downstairs. Everyone but Tom was there. For a moment, I wondered if he was still sleeping or just avoiding Tord, but then I realized I didn't care. Edd was making breakfast, and Matt was talking to Tord, who clearly wasn't listening. I went and sat next to him. "G'morning, everyone!" I said cheerfully. Tord perked up and looked at me, and Matt started babbling to me as well. Edd glanced at me. "Mornin', Y/N!" he said. I wasn't listening to what Matt said, and he didn't really seem to care. Tord was smiling at me. "Sleep well?" he asked. I nodded. "Thanks for taking me to my room." I said, yawning a little. He blushed slightly, but it died as soon as it came. Edd raised an eyebrow. "N-no problem. Glad to help you." Tord said. We both were then quiet for a few minutes, so I just looked at Matt as he ranted about himself. So vain. After a little while, Tom came downstairs, carrying a flask. So he's a drinker. Alright. Guess he wasn't just avoiding Tord, either. He came in and sat across from us. "Morning Tom! Just in time for breakfast." said Edd, who had just turned off the burners and was setting up plates of food for us all. I looked over, a bit more eagerly than I intended. Edd turned around and started handing out food. Tord noticed my eagerness and elbowed me jokingly. "Calm down, there, tiger, the prey is comin'." I blushed a bit in embarrassment, and he chuckled. We then got our food and I dug in. Edd laughed. "Good?" he asked. I nodded gleefully. Matt had an expression almost identicle to mine. Tom was just staring off into space as he ate. We all enjoyed, though.

Matt was washing the dishes, cleaning them until he could see his 'perfect' reflection in them. Tom was drinking from his flask. Edd was looking at us. Tord was fidgeting with his hands. I decided to break the silence. "So...what're you all gonna do today?" I asked. "Drink." Tom answered emotionlessly. I chuckled awkwardly. Tord shrugged. "If you have any plans, I'll just go with you!" Matt said. Edd looked at me. "I was going to go get some new jeans. I got a huge Cola stain on these ones..." he said. I smiled. "Oh, cool! That works out. I was going to go to the mall today." I said. He smiled back. "Oh, really? Sweet! We can go later." Matt turned around. "Can I come?!" he asked eagerly. I giggled. "I don't see why not." Edd looked at him with a slight glare. "If you buy any more junk, I swear to God..." he trailed off. Matt folded his arms and raised his head after shutting the water off. "It's not 'junk', Edd." He then came and sat next to Tord. Speaking of that one specific Norweigan human being, I looked at him. "So what're you gonna do?" I asked. He looked slightly suprised. "Huh?" I giggled. "What are you gonna do today?" I repeated. He thought for a moment. "Um...can I come with you?" he asked. That surprised me. "Uh...sure." I responded. "I don't see why not." He smiled. "Cool. I'm gonna go change now." And with that, he got up and went up to his room. I watched him go.

I waited beside the doorway with Tord and Edd. Matt was busy fixing his hair for probably the 17th time. "C'mooon, Maaatt!" Edd said. "We've been waiting forever!" Matt scoffed. "Well, sor-ry, some of us like to look socially acceptable!" He said. Tord rolled his eyes and grabbed Matt's wrist, dragging him out the door. "Ahhh nooo!" Matt whined. Edd and I laughed and followed the other two boys, and we headed to the mall.
