Akino's eyes took on a sad look. "I understand... You've been through a lot." Her voice showed what her eyes told.

"Please.. don't be sad! I didn't mean to upset you. I-" I started, trying to make things better, but she cut me off.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I really do understand." She gave me an understanding smile. Though she was smiling, her eyes still held a certain type of hurt to them.

"I didn't mean to make you feel bad! I'm sorry..." I hung my head in shame, and closed my eyes. I felt bad. It wasn't my fault I was like this, but I still felt bad for the pain I was causing my mate.

She rested her hand on my shoulder. I was still shirtless. She wouldn't let me put on my shirt while showing her around. So, I kinda got use to it. "Hey, Bodolf. Look at me. Please?"

I sighed and lifted my head to look into her eyes. I couldn't read them this time. Either that, or I didn't want to read them. "Yes?" I was holding back tears.

She placed both of her hands on either side of my face so I could turn my head away from her. "Yes, I'm a little hurt, but it's okay! You should me why, so I get it. It's hard to trust someone at first, especially someone that has gone through what you have. So, trust me, it's alright. You'll believe me one day. I'll make sure of it."

I nodded my head and looked down. I wasn't good at making eye contact with someone. Unless I had to. In this situation, I didn't think I had to.

I heard her sigh softly and kiss my forehead. "Everything will be alright. And, like I said. I'll always be here."

We decided then to go to sleep. It had been a long day. That night, we cuddled. It was my choice, and it was so nice to feel the touch of someone who I knew loved me like no other. And I slept soundly. Without waking up, and no nightmares.

***

I woke up to someone knocking on my door. "Alpha Bodolf!!! Alpha!! Wake up!!"

I immediately was out of bed, and opened my door. "What is it? Why are you waking me up? The sun isn't even up yet!"

There's a man that looks an awful lot like you. Your mother is freaking out. And, we don't know what to do. He's on the edge of the forest before all the dens. Please Alpha, do something." It was my beta. He looked scared.

I knew exactly who he was talking about. It was my father, Jackson.

I pushed Beta aside and ran out the door, only in a pair of basketball shorts. I heard Akino running out the door after me.

"Bodolf! What's the problem!?"

"My father. He's here." I was more angry than anything. I wanted revenge.

I ran to the edge of the dens, and as soon as I was a yard away from him, I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Why are you here!? Why didn't you just stay "dead" to us! I knew you weren't dead, you bastard." I snarled, anger fueling me. Akino stayed back, but was ready to jump in if she needed.

"Showing off your scars boy? I don't know whether to be ashamed or proud. You're still small and pathetic." He spat his words at me, just like always.

I snarled again, my words having a bit of a growl to them. "Get out! You have no place here."

"Oh, so you think you can tell me what to do?" He had an annoying smirk on his face.

"I'm alpha here, and I tell you to leave!"

"Don't tell your father what to do boy!!" His words were angry. I saw him raise an arm to slap me. I braced for it, ready. But, in the blink of an eye, Akino was there, instead of me. Akino took the hit, the hard smack in the face instead of me. He smacked my mate. He touched my mate!!

With a deep growl I switched into a wolf and knocked him to the ground, my teeth around his throat. I was seething with anger. How dare he touch my mate, especially in front of me!?!?

"Bodolf! Wait! Don't kill him. We could get some information from him," I heard Akino.

"What information could you want from him?" I asked her through a mind link.

"Just, lets take him to the dungeon and I'll show you."

I let off of my father, and let my strongest warriors take him to the dungeon, chain his arms and legs, and closed him in a metal door. The dungeons were wolf proof. There was no getting out of them.

"I don't see what you would want with him," I huffed at Akino, crossing my arms. "You should have just let me kill him."

"You weren't thinking straight. Yes, you hate him, but he's also your father. And, you still aren't thinking straight."

I sighed but didn't respond.

"I'll show you what I mean tomorrow. For now, you have to go meet my family and old pack now."

"Oh yea huh..."

"Yeah...."
