chapter 5

I noticed Fey wasn't showing up to class quite as much.

She wouldn't answer my texts.

When I called her, all I got was her voicemail.

When I saw her she seemed the same as always, smiling and friendly to everyone.

One day, I hadn't seen her at all, I went over to her house after school, worried she must've been sick.

I had a rose in my right hand, hoping I could make her day better for whatever circumstance.

When her mom answered, she hesitated then let me in.

Her door was locked and I waited a moment, I heard quiet sobbing.

I had opened her door that day to find her crying, it was the first time I had ever seen such a happy girl crying.

She looked at me and I just embraced her.

I asked her why, she told me one of her friends stabbed her in the back.

I asked her who?

She told me it was Leann, I told her I was there for her.

But Now I guess that was a lie.

The next day, I found leann and talked to her.

I remember her smiling slyly, looking behind me.

"Why do you even like her" she had asked.

I had been taken a back by her comment.

That's when she grabbed me and kissed me.

And......I didn't pull away.

I don't know what was wrong with me, I had a girlfriend for gods sake.

When I finally did pull away I found fey standing there wide mouthed and teary eyed.

I ran after her, but it was no use.

I had screwed up.

I went to her house the next day, trying to apologise, I found her in her room crying, she said she hasn't moved from that spot for 24 hours.

She said I broke her heart.

And making that mistake, breaking such an innocent happy girls heart into two, well that's what ripped mine in half as well.

If only I had a more appropriate way of showing my love for her.

After pleading and begging, she stupidly forgave me.

And I didn't deserve her forgiveness.

We were back on good terms, I vowed to never make a mistake like that again.

That's when I found out, she had been smoking again.

We had a huge fight, I was mad at her for using again, and she was mad at me for getting upset with her.

"Your the one who got me started" she yelled at me.

"Your the reason my life has gone to shit" she had said with tears in her eyes, her face red and contorted with anger.

I had never seen her look so broken and angry before.

It broke my heart.

But she was right.

I am the reason for her downfall, I didn't know how to love her correctly.

I showed it in all the wrong ways.
