How can I help her? How could she just go and make a deal with Aiden? I leaned against the sink and looked outside into the dark night. Under a street lamp, was the unlikely duo. Petra and that ragtag Jesse Jones.
Especially when Aiden knew I secretly liked Petra. How could he do that to me? To us? I knew it was intentional. Suddenly, Petra looked up and I ducked away from the window, my heart racing. I felt my face flush and exited the kitchen of Aiden's house.
I had no reason to stay anyway.
