Lukas's PoV

I slowed down to a walk and leaned against a tree, trying to catch my breath. I just ran away from a girl. Damn it Lukas. You're such an idiot.

Then I felt something in my palm and looked down at it. A piece of candy sat there, winking up at me. I could faintly recall the girl pushing something in my hand before running away. I turned the sweet over and saw some words...

Take care?

I shrugged and put the sweet into my pocket, confused. Why would that girl even have a extra supply of sweets which said, Take care? Was she crazy?
I looked up at the sky and it seemed like it was going to rain soon. Sighing, I trudged back home as a cold wind blew.

For once in my life... I felt lonely. Lonely for something I couldn't name. Lonely for... I don't know. Lukas, come on.. think.

"Is there a reason why you're pacing around this tree?" I looked up and nearly had a shock. In front of me was Aiden. "Aiden." I said, a little spooked out. "Did you see that... Miss Jackson yet?" Aiden asked, one foot scuffling on the ground, as if looking for something. But I knew he had a bad habit of doing that.

"I told you to stop calling her that. She's in a com..coma, remember?" I blinked back tears. I could feel the stress and the regret building up again and talking to Aiden was not the best choice. Aiden raised an eyebrow and seemed to notice my struggle. So he shrugged.

"Okay..." and without another word, he spun on his heel, and left me standing in the woods, alone again.
