"I'm so sorry Mizuki, I know you were lonely all that time, but I have to leave." I pushed him away from me.

"Why? You don't have to go!" he hugged my stomach... perv!

"Hey! Let me go you perv! You said you weren't gonna do anything to me!" I kicked the back of his head a lot of times.

"Sorry but I changed my mind." He smiled devilishly.

"Hell no! Tomoe! Help me!" Mizuki pulled me down to the floor when Tomoe finally came! Thanks god!

Tomoe punched out the doors.

"You dare to touch my lady and mistress!?! You better have prepared to spend the rest of your time in hell!"

"Tomoe!" during all that commotion, I got up and Mizuki tried to pull me back down, but I kicked him in his tiny snake balls.

He shreeched out in pain.

"Why... Emi."

"Don't underestimate me, I can be nice but don't do that!" Tomoe ran to me and hugged me behind me.

"Finally!" Tomoe whispered in my ear.

I bonked him in the head.

"Hey!"

"What took you so long! You can tell me later because right now,"

I pulled him into a hug.

"Thanks for saving me."

We were hugging in the middle of a fire... the Yonomori shrine!

"Oh boy. I never imagined you'd find this place,your as ill mannered as ever, Tomoe."

Mizuki killed the flames by extinguishing them with his snakes. While I was picked up by Tomoe and into his arms.

"Trying to burn a water god's shrine? Talk about irony. Well, you're a former wild fox, so that's just like you. So? Don't tell me you actually intended to fight me? You started as a yōkai and I'm a divine familiar, so normally, you wouldn't even be in a position to speak freely to me."

"There's a social hierarchy in the world of familiars, too?!?" I was shocked.

"A water god's shrine? This place? Both your water god and your shrine were long gone, crumbled to nothing."

Mizuki's eyes widened.

"This is an artificial space that created to play at being the familiar. Now, Master Former Divine Familiar... time for you to pay for trying to take my lady and mistress."

He started to shoot more flames everywhere.

"Put out the flames!" Mizuki said to his snakes.

"It's no use, the flames already spreaders around the shrine. Look you lost three times. First, when I got into the shrine, second, when Emi got into my arms, and the third time, will be the final blow."

"Master Mizuki! The yard is on fire!" the two spirits said. Mizuki was frozen.

*Flashback and in Mizuki's POV*

"Mizuki, I'm not dying... I'm simply giving back to the earth... But promise this cherry blossom tree that you will not cry when I'm not here."

*Back to Reality*

I hope it's safe. It has to be.

I ran to the cherry blossom in the back yard, where I swore to Yonomori.

"It's safe."

"Oh I see, this entire place was just a display for that tree."

"Th-that's right. Without this tree, I have nothing." I stuttered.

"No you don't." Emi said.

"What?"

"Tomoe, can you stop your flames."

"But Emi!"

"Now!" he did what he was told and put down the flames.

"Mizuki," she walked up to the tree. Then looked at me.

"You do have something... you have a new friend... me."

"R-really?"

"Yeah, you see. I kinda know what you felt like, all lonely with no one. I know how that felt, but I forgive you and if we can start over, we can become great friends. Tomoe's here now, so I have to go. I'm sorry I couldn't stay with you. But..."

She looked back at the tree and touched a bud. The bud bloomed into a beautiful flower.

"If you get lonely by yourself, I'll come and watch the buds with you, Mizuki. I promise."

My eyes widened.

She tends to get fierce at times, but she is also the kindest person I have ever met.

Emi's POV

Tomoe and I walked back to the shrine.

"Tomoe are you ticked off because I promised to see him again?"

"And because you're very friendly with that snake."

"But, I couldn't leave him alone... if Nanami and I were to die, you would be left all alone. You'd end up like Mizuki. I couldn't stand seeing you like that. Oh that reminds me, where's Nanami?"

"She's probably asleep in the shrine so-"

"Emi!!!"I heard someone yell... it's Nanami!

"Nanami!" I saw Kotetsu and Onikiri next to her.

"Onikiri! Kotetsu!" I tried to run to them, but I almost fell.

"Emi!" Tomoe said with a caring tone.

"What?"

"Your leg."

"Oh I just tripped, you don't have to worry."

"I'm glad your back!" Nanami said.

"I've missed you so much!" I hugged them all.

"Hey can we go home now? We can have a reunion!"

"Yeah, let's go!" We all left to the shrine.
