Lucky Number 07 ↳ Charlie Weasley

chapter three

(Monday, 7th September, 1988)

"Oi, Monroe ready to lose?" Charlie Weasley yelled over to the Hufflepuff girl. Caitlin raised an eyebrow "do you know who my family are?" She shot back "I won't go down without a fight" she told him seriously, Charlie rolled his eyes and continued on with his work.

Caitlin grinned to herself and talked to Tonks. "So, you and Weasley" Tonks said smirking, Caitlin's head shot up at the mention of 'Weasley' she glared at Tonks. Aidan laughed softly but stopped whenever he saw Caitlin.

He put his hands up in defeat. Caitlin then turned to Tonks. "What about me and him?" She asked her friend "there's nothing going on" Tonks only chuckle.

"The reason why McGonagagall never said anything to Charlie about shouting over at you is because she can see it too" Caitlin raised an eyebrow.

"See what?" Tonks sighed "love" Caitlin laughed at Tonks "love? You think that I love Charlie?" Tonks looked down at her books.

"It's true!" Aidan said and Caitlin huffed at her friends "I don't love Charlie!" she semi yelled making sure that no one heard her apart from her friends.

"Maybe not today or tomorrow but sometime in the near future you will realise that you are in love with him and that scares you."

Caitlin never answered her friend, she looked down at her work and carried on with it. Tonks' words did have an effect on her.

She thought Tonks was bloody mad.

It was now dinner and then after dinner Hufflepuff could go to the pitch and practice their strategy.

Caitlin mounted her broom and kicked off, she held her bat. She looked at Declan Cardamon who was the other beater in the team.

And a whistle blew and brought Caitlin out of her little trance.

She raced round the pitch hitting the Bludger to Cardamon who was also very new to the team. She knocked him off his broom, the  second time she hit him with the Bludger.

Caitlin smirked and so did their captain "you alright there Cardamon?" Declan nodded his head and mounted his semi-broken broom.

Everyone chuckles and keeps on playing, they stayed out until it was dark. Everyone was tired apart from Caitlin.

Caitlin was used to staying up late to play a little bit of Quidditch. She smiled at her teammates.

"Good game today boys" she said as—Caitlin Monroe—was the only girl on the team.
Mason—who was their captain—smiled back at her, he slapped her on the shoulder and brought her close to his side. Caitlin flinched as the slap stung a bit and then she relaxes as the sting settles down.

"Bloody brilliant what you did with Cardamon" Caitlin chuckles at him "well he got a proper welcome didn't he?" She asked him, Mason nodded his head and they walked to the dorms together.

What Caitlin didn't know that Charlie and some of his friends were waiting for them, Mason turns to Caitlin while saying "so do you think we're going to break Gryffindor this year?"

Caitlin laughed "of course, they don't call me Hufflepuffs lucky number seven for nothing. I'll break them" she told her captain and then kissed his cheek.

"Don't you worry" Mason laughed as they walked into the dorms. Tonks was waiting for Caitlin to get in.

"Where were you?" She asked the strawberry blonde as soon as she walked into the girls dorms.

"Quidditch practice Tonks also I was giving one of our team mates a proper welcome" Tonks laughed at this.

"And you weren't with a certain captain?" Caitlin put down her equipment, she looked at her purple haired friend.

"Who Mason?" Tonks nodded her head, Caitlin started to take off her uniform. "And you think that I was on a date with him?" Tonks nodded her head again.

Caitlin only laughed and then walked over to her friend and whispered into her ear "he's gay" Tonks' eyes widened.

"How do you know that?" Tonks asked her, Caitlin took off her boots. "So you remember when we won the cup last year and everyone was excited about it?"

"He came out to me before he kissed me because that Lilliana wouldn't stop looking at him and so if everyone thought that we were 'dating' that girls would just leave him alone besides he dating Roger" Tonks chuckled.

"So our captain is dating Roger, the chaser on the team?" Caitlin nodded her head "and so people think they we are dating and if he wants to come out or if he doesn't I'm his 'girlfriend' and Roger is just his friend" Tonks laid down on the bed trying to process everything that has just been told to her.

"You are one best friend" Caitlin smiled "and our 'anniversary' is coming up" Caitlin joked as Tonks laughed at her.

"What does Mr Weasley think about this?" Caitlin looked at Tonks her smile fading. "I'm not sure" she told her and got her towel "but he can't say anything, I can date anyone that I like to" she told her best friend and then she walked to the shower leaving Tonks in her thoughts.

Being the idiot that I am I forgot that I made the character Aidan....so if you see him in paragraphs that you haven't before it's because I remembered him.
