chapter six

(Tuesday, 27th, September, 1988)

"Madam Pomfrey what if she never wakes up?" Caitlin could hear Tonks ask the older woman. "She will, miss Tonks just give her some more time."

'How long have I been out for?' Caitlin asked her 'merlin, everyone is going to think that I'm stupid! Why did I have to faint at the sight of a werewolf? Why is that the scariest memory that I have?'

Caitlin tried to move but she knew that she wasn't, she was sick of 'sleeping' she knew that she had to get up, she knew that and yet whenever she tried she couldn't.

So she stopped trying and just focus on memories that she has had with everyone in her life.

Hogwarts first year: Meeting Tonks

"Mom what if they don't like me?" A young Caitlin as her mother, Alaina just smiled at her daughter, "I'm sure that everyone is going to love you Caitlin, don't put yourself don't and never let anyone walk over you."

Caitlin kissed her mother and fathers cheeks and it was time to go, she waved goodbye to them and she heard her mother say "be good and stay together!"

Caitlin looked at her brother "why does she have to be embarrassing?" Ryan laughed "that's just how mothers are!"

Caitlin sighed "I hope I'm not like that to my kids!"

Ryan and Caitlin parted ways and she found an empty compartment. She was sitting there for five minutes before she heard a knock on the door.

"Can I sit here please?" Tonks asked and Caitlin nodded her head yes. "I'm Tonks!" she exclaimed, "is that your real name or just a surname?"

Tonks looked around her and leaned into Caitlin "it's a surname. I hate the name that my mother gave me!" There were sitting across from each other. Caitlin just laughed at her, she was huffing about her name.

"Well I'm Caitlin Monroe, but you can just call me Caitlin." Tonks nodded her head, "do you know anyone on the train?" Caitlin nodded her head yes.

"My brother and a few of his friends, but that's all!" Caitlin said and Tonks sighed in relief. "Thank merlin!" Tonks said, "What house do you want to get into?"

"Hufflepuff!"

"Then let's be best friends!" 

Caitlin remembers the first time that they met, whenever they had first met she thought that Tonks was extraordinary. She was blunt, funny and was never afraid to put anyone in their place.

Caitlin wanted to wake up, 'why can't I wake up!' She was angry with herself, 'I just want to see my friend!'

And so she felt like a curse had been lifted off of her and then she opened her eyes, all for four weeks she had seen was darkness and now she was able to see the world again.

"Caitlin!" Tonks yelled "I'm so glad that your okay!" Tonks yelled at her friend, Caitlin flinched at Tonks loud voice.

"So... did you missed me?" Caitlin asked her friend, Tonks laughed "did I miss you? I-i—well what do you think of course I missed you Caitlin!" Tonks was yelling again.

"Miss Tonks! Please don't yell" Pomfrey asked one of the students, Tonks nodded her head and muttered a sorry.

Pomfrey smiles at Caitlin "I'm glad that your awake, just let me check to see if you really are okay."

Pomfrey did a few tests and everything was fine for now. "Thank you" Caitlin said and Madam Pomfrey nodded her head.

Caitlin smiled at Tonks, "I missed you as well Tonks" Caitlin said and Tonks was embarrassed, her ears went a little red. "Are you—Tonks—embarrassed?" Tonks denied stuck out her tongue.

"Have you seen my brother or Charlie?" Tonks nodded her head no. "I'm sure that they will come sooner or later and I'm unsure if anyone told them you woke up, I wouldn't blame them for not knowing because you just woke up."

Caitlin nodded her head, she sighed and sunk into the pillow, "it's going to be tough for us right Tonks?" Tonks nodded her head. "I'm going to tell professor Sprout that your awake and maybe  McGonagall so that we can send the boys here."

Caitlin smile at Tonks, "I'd like that very much."
