Caitlin sighed as she sat by the black lake. Her fifth year was already off to a great start, she could feel the October breeze on her face as she sat patiently for someone.
"Melin! Why did you want to come out here to study? Did you already forgot that it is OCTOBER?" Caitlin laughed as she heard her best friends voice.
"Now, now Tonks. You have already agreed to study." Tonks sat down and huffed. "I would have never thought that we were going to study out here or I would have never came!" Tonks said.
Caitlin shushed her, Tonks raised her eyebrow. "Don't shush me!" Tonks said and Caitlin turns to her "you need to speak more quietly" Caitlin told her while Tonks was confused.
"The mere people don't like it whenever we talk, I suppose we do talk rather loudly" Tonks laughed "and how do you know this?" Caitlin smirked.
"The mermaid in first year told me."
Tonks' jaw dropped "we have a mermaid in first year?!" Tonks practically yelled. "Will you calm down woman! Before I kill you!" Caitlin said.
"You are going to meet her" Caitlin said "and I don't want to hear you talk just about her tail, understood?"
"What's her name?"
"Kaia."

The young first year was anxious meeting the older fifth years. She nervously pulled on the neckless that her mother made her.
She spotted the strawberry blonde and the Metamorphmagus. As she got closer she heard the Metamorphmagus say "is this her?" the strawberry blonde nodded her head.
Kaia smiled at Caitlin who smiled back, "Kaia this is Tonks, Tonks this is Kaia." The two shook hands, and they all sat down.
"So why are we meeting here?" Tonks asked impatiently. "I offered to help Kaia with her homework and I think that you can help her as well."
"So we're not studying?"
"Oh we are Tonks, don't worry."
Kaia giggles at the dissatisfaction look on Tonks' face. "I really hate studying!" Tonks said, Caitlin turned to her friend.
"You are never going to be an Auror if you don't study! Now I don't want to hear it and take out your books, maybe we can teach Kaia something while we are at it!"
Tonks eyed the mermaid carefully and then she saw which house she was in: Hufflepuff
"Bloody hell" Tonks muttered "your in Hufflepuff, now come I have never seen you before?"
"Well, I don't really want to be seen...."
"Because of what you are?"
Kaia looked up to Tonks "exactly."
"So how did you two meet?" Tonks asked Caitlin who smiled.
"In the hospital wing, and that is a story for another day."
