TWENTY NINE

~*Becky's POV*~

Brad has been home just over a week now and it's been great to be able to spend some quality time with him and his family. I've really bonded with them. I'm eating and sleeping a lot better now and I've put back on most of the weight I lost. I've also started going to gym on a weekly basis now, which I haven't done since we moved to London.

The boys have a meeting with their management at the record label in London today, so I'm currently sitting in the waiting area for them to finish.

I'm quietly humming along to The Kooks, when my phone buzzes in my hand. It's a text from mum.

1 new message from - Mama x

Hi darling, I would call to tell you this but I'm half way through a very busy shift and only have enough time to text. I don't want to have to wait to tell you this either.

I got a call from D.C.I Poole, the man in charge of our case, and they have found the BMW at the bottom of a lake on the outskirts of Yorkshire. They also discovered that BMW was stolen 2 weeks before he was jailed.

Jude wasn't in the car and they've had divers down there but there's no sign of Jude. D.C.I Poole believes he sunk the car to hide something, but are yet to find anything suspicious. There has also been another car theft in a near by village around 1 week ago. Poole suspects Jude. They questioned a man who said he remembers seeing the car and his description of the driver fits Jude.

Will let you know if I hear anything else. I'll call you in my lunch break. Say hi to Bradley for me. Love you xxx

I quickly type my reply.

That's great news! And it's a start, I guess. What do they think Jude was trying to hide in the car? Do they know how long the BMW has been at the bottom of the lake?

If the other car theft was reported 1 week ago, he could be anywhere. And that also gives him enough time to leave the country. He could be anywhere!

But at least we're getting somewhere. Speak later. Have a good day at work. Love you too xxx

I sit back in the chair and I notice a little weight has been lifted off my shoulders. At least they've started to pick up a track on Jude now. Sounds like he's heading North.

The door to the meeting room opens and Brad comes out. I remove my head phones and smile at him. He smiles back, but I can tell it's his fake smile.

" How did it go?" I ask. Brad ushers me to stand up. He sits down in my seat and pulls me down sideways onto his lap.

" It went well." Brad tells me.

" No it didn't. Don't lie to me." Brad looks me in the eyes and sighs, looking back down at my lap.

" We're going on tour..."

" What!? Brad, you numpty, that's not a bad thing." I chuckle and kiss his cheek.

" It is when we're touring in Australia and Japan." Brad mumbles.

And a tiny part of my world crumbles. He's only just got home and now he's going away again. I don't even know when he's going. I don't have a clue how long he's going to be gone for.

" I leave in 2 weeks, but I'm not sure how long we're there for." Brad answers my thoughts.

I simply nod. Brad wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. He kisses my neck a few times before burying his head in the crook of my neck. I hold Brad close and breathe in his scent.
