                                                                 **Elsa**

The maids tightens my corset, knocking the wind right out of me. "Too tight... too tight," I say my voice high and squeaky.  The maid grunts as she tries to lessen the hold that the corset has on me. I breathe a sigh of relief as the corset gets looser.  I swear corsets are horrible inventions that in no way help human kind.  What purpose do they have? If any at all... Oh I'm sorry fashion. Pfff fashion.

What ever happened to comfort and sense? Honestly....

Of course I have no say in what I wear, it would be 'unseemly' if the Queen didn't wear a corset. People would talk, gossip, all because I didn't wear a stupid corset that makes my heart fall into my lungs. People talk enough about my powers, this kingdom doesn't need any more unwanted attention. At least that's what the Duchess informed me when she woke me up from a light slumber.

I couldn't fall asleep last night, I just kept tossing and turning, falling in and out of a light slumber. Too worried to sleep, too tired to not try and sleep.  Thinking of how I left Jack in my ice palace... he insisted that I go down to my kingdom, alone.  I'm not going to be just Elsa to him any more... once I take a husband.  I shiver.

No more freedom... no more Jack. He will leave this island... I'm sure of it.

The maid finishes off tying the last string on my corset. "There you go your majesty, all tied up, nice and tight."  She says happily going to the corner to get the rest of my huge assemble. Dress, some assembly required.  Great...

Its going to be a long five hours to get prepared for this dam ball....

"All rise for her majesty,  Queen Elsa!"  A thousand people clapping all at once welcomes me into the glittery golden ball room. "Milady..." Gavin says offering me a cup of bubbly champagne. I shake my head with a nervous smile.  No drinking tonight , the last thing I need is to make a fool of myself. Besides... I don't hold my liquor well.

Gavin nods and goes off to offer his drinks to other guests.  Anna pushes her way towards me, a huge smile on her face, Kristoff not that far behind her. Her sweet pea coloured dress brings out her strawberry blonde hair and cute dimples.  Anna grasps my hands in her own, looking excited. "Oh Elsa you look beautiful!"  I feel beautiful... for the first time in along time.  My hair isn't in a braid or a bun, but flows and ripples down my backside like a icy blonde river.  My dress is tight on the top, displaying my curves but poofs out at the bottom. Its a dark royal blue that reminds me much like Jacks sweater that he so fondly wears all the time.

My crown gleams and shines, looking more like its made of ice then silver.   "Thank you Anna, you look pretty as well." Anna flusters at my compliment, stuttering and mumbling to herself.  I smile; she doesn't know how to take a compliment.  Kristoff stands awkwardly behind her, not wanting to intrude on whatever were doing. Anna and I've been fighting for weeks about this stupid ball... its not her fault and I should never have treated her like it was.

I hug her tightly;" Go dance Anna, have fun. Kristoff looks sad and lonely without you." Anna casts a look over her shoulders, Kristoff gives her a little finger wave. "Elsa but what about you?"  I laugh as I push her towards Kristoff. "Anna please, I can take care of myself. Now go and dance the night away."  Anna looks sheepishly at me but as soon as Kristoff kisses her on the cheeks, I am forgotten. As I should be.

It shouldn't always be about me; even when we were children, Father and Mother worried more about me then Anna. She can have this night to be with Kristoff, they are young and in love, let them have their moment.
