...

You waited a few more seconds, but they felt like a few decades. Finally you turned back around before walking down the stairs, not paying any attention to anything.

You hadn't heard any movement, but you knew he had to have heard your knocking. Holding back tears, you sat down on one of the couches. Only Lui sat there, and he was playing GTA on a TV.

"Hey Lu," you mumbled.

He nodded in acknowledgement but was too immursed into his game to notice your depressed self.

"Where is everyone?" You asked after a few minutes of pure silence. Outside of the noises of the game, the entire mansion was quiet.

Lui died ingame, and groaned.

"Evan went to a "business" meeting with some "businessmen", and so Delirious and a few other went with." So meeting an other gang.

"What about Ohm?" You found yourself asking.

"In his room last I checked." Lui shrugged before returning to his game. You watched him play for a while before deciding to head back up to your room.

Right before you got up, a though expanded in your head. What if Ohm didn't care anymore? In that time he easily could have found an interest in anyone else, and he was good-looking enough that they probably liked him.

Ohm must have moved along.

You forced back tears and began running up to your room. As you reached the top step, a voice called you down. Luke.

"Kit." He called softly. "Come'ere." You turned around, and he saw the few tears that managed to escape. A sad expression came over him. It was odd on his tough/no nonsense face.

Sitting down at an empty couch, he gestured for you to join him. The last thing you wanted to do was have him see you like this. You were supposed to be tough and in a gang. Although this wasn't an ordinary group, they all were badasses and tough. But Luke knew Ohm the most.

You sat down and Luke looked helpless.

"What is up?" He asked quietly.

"I...I just." You didn't know what to say.

"Ohm?" Luke asked in the same, soft tone.

"I...just need him. And I am worried that he moved on. These three months have been horrible. I couldn't focus on any mission and I just cannot focus at all anymore."

"He. He is a pretty complex guy," Luke agreed. "But I don't think he has given up. He had a girl for a while a few years back that he swore he loved. But he never looked at her the way he looked at you."

"I hate it." You said, nearly crying again. "Looked. Not looks. I hate that we cannot be together. It is tough."

"I know what you mean. My girl got kicked out by Evan a while back. I missed her for the longest time." Luke sat quiet for a minute.

You remembered what Ohm had said, but forced it away.

"It is horrible. I am literally a wall away from him but only see him when we run into each other." You just let it out. Come to think of it, you hadn't seen Ohm in nearly a week.

You gave up talking and stood up. You just wanted to be alone. Or to be with Ohm. Given the inability to do the second, you walked upstairs and couldn't wait to lay around your room and droop.

You passed by Ohm's, and saw that the door was open a crack. The game was still on, and decided to risk a peek in.

His room was just as you remembered, but instead of Ohm, there was a tape playing over the computer. Pre-recorded gameplay. The game was never really on. Ohm was never really there.

Worry overtook sadness as you closed the door and returned to your room. Settling down on your bed, one thought took control:

Where is he?

Duh, duh, daaaa!!

What do you think is up?
