The Fifth Gate: A Splendid Ninja Is Born

I look around for my little sister she was right next to me a little while ago she said something before taking off to wherever. Nariko soon returns smirking.

"Nariko, where have you been?" I whispered yelled

"I told you, I had to use the restroom, didn't I?" Nariko said

"Sorry about that I guess I wasn't paying attention." I apologized. Nariko pouted.

"Oh come on, don't be angry." I plead and getting scared.

"I'm not angry, a matter of fact, I'm glad that I have you with me," Nariko said unexpectedly

"Nariko-- Where did this come from all of a sudden?" I asked

"Not important--" Nariko said looking back at the fight

I look down at the fight as well. Lee's appearance was changing his whole body turning red with veins bulging in his head similar to the byakugan, green chakra appears with his hair rise up.

"Fourth gate, the gate of pain. Open!" Lee charges with a powerful burst of energy making the ground break up with loads of dust floating around, everyone had to block as he kicks Gaara in the face.
Nariko was behind me clutching the hem of my jacket to protect her eyes from the dust.

I don't blame her. When we were little she often does that as a reflex when she gets scared. When I was about to get punched she came in for defense but this time it will be different than this I'll be defending her.

"He's faster than ever!" Kakashi-sensei exclaimed

"Where did they go?" I asked looking around

"Up there!" Shikamaru shouted looking up.
Gaara was up in the air.

As for Lee, he vanished.

"There's Gaara, but where's Lee?" Ino exclaimed

"He's just gone!" Choji stated

The sand was trying to protect him, isn't moving fast enough. Gaara's sand armor is cracking.

"Hiding behind that sand armor again, eh! Well, let's see about that!" Lee exclaimed as he appeared out of thin air he repeatedly bashes Gaara in different directions. I couldn't see a thing.

Gaara's sand armor is falling apart.

Bushy brow went to punch him when there was a streak of red lightening on his arm.

"His muscles are tearing themselves apart!" Kakashi-sensei exclaimed

Bushy brow super punches Gaara in the stomach he brings the redhead to him again.

"Hidden lotus!" Bushy brow smashes him into the ground and rolls down, exhausted.

Gaara's gourd turned into sand cushioning his fall. I soon see Gaara held up his arm aiming at Lee the sand floats up above Gaara. Lee tries and stumbles away.

The sand catches up with him as Lee sticks out his left arm leaving his left leg to become exposed making the sand crawl on his target body parts. Lee tried to pull away.

"Sand coffin" Gaara closes his hand the sand

The sand crushes his arm and leg badly. Bushy brow screamed in agony. Everyone in the room was shocked. Lee fell down with sand still holding onto him.

"Now die!" Gaara yelled with sand barreling towards him

Bushier brow Sensei steps in just in time to bash the sand away. Gaara stood up with one knee bend he looked like he was thinking about something before clutching onto his head.

"But why he failed? Why protect him?" Gaara said horsey

"Because he's my student also because he's precious to me." Bushier brow Sensei said

Gaara looked like he didn't understand anything. Gaara sighed walking away with the sand turning back into his giant gourd.

"I quit," Gaara said, walking away coldly

"He what?" Sakura asked

"It's too late now, he won the minute, Guy intervened," Kakashi-sensei explained

"And the winner is..." Hayate was about to call out the winner when much too everyone's surprise.

Bushy brow stands up wobbly in his knees, everyone shocked.

"No Lee you don't have to..." Bushier brow Sensei stood in fear

"Oh no, what have I done?" Guy's tears started to stream down

"Not even conscious but still wanting to prove the world to show what you've got." Bushier brow sensei finishes

"I don't get it, what's happened?" I asked

"He's out cold nothing holding him up but sheer willpower" Kakashi-sensei places his headband back covering his sharingan eye

"That kid didn't stand a chance," Kankuro said

"I knew he couldn't defeat Gaara," Temari said

I couldn't take it anymore I jump down with Nariko behind me.

I ran pass the redhead after giving him an icy stare, Nariko keeps going.

"This boy needs medical attention immediately," doctor 1 said running with a stretcher and two other doctors behind him

The doctors bend down checking his body. Doctor 1 suddenly gasps and look at Bushier brow Sensei.

"Are you the boy's teacher?"

"Yes" Bushier brow responded to him hassle free

"Could you come over here?"

They both walk away. I somewhat eavesdropped accidentally.

"He's in critical condition, his leg, and arm, in particular, suffered massive damage. I'm sorry but his days as a shinobi is over." Doctor 1 apologize before bowing the doctors hoist Lee's body up to my face. I watch in disbelief.

"No... He's wrong... It can't be true..." I said softly

The doctors walk away with Lee's motionless body.

"Easy for you to say, it's over! What about Bushy brow what's he supposed to do now! Failure..." I said having more to say

"I thought you say we could win I thought that... It was all a lie, wasn't it?" I finished

Kakashi-sensei appeared behind us covering our I and Nariko's mouths.

"Stop it, that's enough!" Kakashi said

I reacted batting away roughly at Kakashi's hand as Nariko batted away softly and slowly.

"It isn't fair, all he wanted was to prove himself against Sasuke and Neji..." I said with my voice cracking up

"Maybe that's what led him to his downfall he was so fixated on that goal. That he risk his future and his body to try and accomplish it. It wasn't only Sasuke and Neji he was thinking about it was you too. He risks everything hoping to see you in battle." Kakashi started to rub our head's as Nariko hold my arm, smirking

"Hahaha so cute!" Kakashi spoke out loud

"What?" Nariko said tilting her head

"Oh nothing," Kakashi said closing his eye smiling under his mask

Kakashi start walking up to Guy.

"Guy what I said before I was being a self-righteous fool. I realized now if I had been in your shoes I would've done the same." Kakashi-sensei looked between me and Nariko much too our confusion

"Let's go they can't start the next match with us standing here," Kakashi said making Guy look back kinda disappointed.

"Lee, I hope your injuries get better and I promise to come by and visit," Nariko said

Next up is Choji vs. Dosu

I can't wait for it to be Nariko's turn.
