Brandon

She can't know the truth. After all she is under my protection. I shit things up... I'm her stupid guardian. They promised I would be the one taking the light in charge. That big bunch of sadistic liars. At least the spell I put upon her won't let her remember. Thanks to that witch's spirit who possessed her, she won't recall these last weeks. To say the truth I have no idea what she'll remember and what she'll forget, or more put aside in her memory. All I know... She cannot in any condition remember... I shall steal the light and bring it to safety no matter what they say about her being the light...

Vanessa

I feel the cold breeze of a rainy morning on my cheeks as I lift my eyelids with difficulty. I find myself in an unfamiliar bedroom. The walls are covered with a dark brownish parchment. Old... The bed screeches as soon as I move. I find myself dressed in pretty emo clothes. Black shirt, black pants, black shoes and black jacket. My hair is in big fat curls. Am I drunk? Oh shit. Mom's going to be furious! Dad is going to literally kill me... I head down a strange hall and go down some spiral wooden stairs. I find myself facing multiples door, this is like a déjà vu... I decide to take the far left one and end up in a gigantic kitchen. There's a freaking boy...

-Hey, how'd you sleep? Said a crazy hot guy. I could already imagine his nice flawless muscled body. If he was a lifeguard... I'd be dead by now.

-Who are you exactly? Not that I didn't sleep we'll or anything... But you know I'd prefer knowing your name if you're going to know my life. I said in a mocking tone. Damn he's hot...

-Oh yeah... Brandon... We... Hum... Are roommates... He said hesitating.

-Oh... Ok. Yeah right...

-Coffee? He asked as I saw his blue cyan eyes. I think I just drooled on his floor.

-No thanks; I'll be heading out... I said reaching for the door.

He eyed me for a few seconds as I went out. All there was were trees and crops, and last but not least an old road.

I could hear footsteps coming from behind. Feeling confused I went back in and went back in the kitchen.

- Don't we have school? I asked the dead dropping hot guy.

- Yeah I'll give you a ride, its right around the corner... That's next to a lot of other corners. He said trying to make me laugh but I could feel my gaze on his face, I could also feel mosquitoes flying in my wide open mouth.

- He took car eyes and gestured me to follow him. And so I did.

My eyes were wide open and my mouth was wide open to the ground. I'm not very good with car names brands and all that boring stuff, but his car was one hell of a car. It looked expensive and it was sleek red, the windows were mirror black.

-Jump in your tablet's already in the car. He said a grin spreading across his face.

I opened the door and buckled up. My tablet was indeed on the back seat.

We arrived at school faster then I though, mostly because I slept throughout the ride.

He parked his car and opened my door. He reached for my hand and grabbed it. I don't know if I was about to faint or puke, I mean yeah he's sexy and all but he is one hell of a creepy guy!

For my sake I shook his hand off and he handed me my schedule. Strangely the halls were strangers to my eyes. The mass of bodies surrounding me got me dizzy.

I was used to skipping classes and coming to school early to avoid these situations where you can't breathe.

As cliché as it might sound, I headed for the bathroom. I walked in and gave myself a check. My hair was still curled and I was wearing eyeliner.

- You look fine; now move before you ruin the mirrors with your ugliness. I heard the high pitch voice come. There were three girls.

- Too bad it's already been ruined by you. I said feeling this strength flow in my blood. It was something pure, undiscovered.

- Next time, don't talk. With only one clap of the hand we can bring you from liked to hated, so I suggest you walk away in silence when you still can. The blonde said grabbing my arm while pushing her sharp nails in my skin.

-Ill shut up when I die. I said trying to give her one of those looks that scares people.

-Creep, said the blonde girl and went to the mirrors avoiding my eyes.

-OMG! Did you see her eyes...?

Before I could hear the rest I was already out and trying to find my classroom.

I ended starting in math, oh math, so boring math. All I could concentrate on was the diamond necklace I had on. It glowed and switched from blue to emerald.

The bell rang. I had another class and the bell saved me again.

Lunch was boring. I could see Brandon eating with queen bee I met earlier. I was eating my salad or more brutally murdering it with my fork. I was seated at the far end of the cafeteria, alone.

Bored I decided to ditch my imaginary friends to explore the school. All I looked for was an access to the roof where I could escape.

I had finally found the door leading to the flat roof. I went to a shadowy place on the roof and lied down.

I took the diamond in my hands and started playing with it. I felt little strikes of energy when turning it around. I made it spin.

My body collapsed yet I was still awake. I could move myself but not my body.

I was here, yet there.

Brandon

This chick was talking about her hair; thank god there was music in the cafeteria. She wouldn't stop saying how she couldn't always straighten it. I was checking the cafeteria for Vanessa. It was the fifth time I scanned the room for her, but she was nowhere to be seen. As much as I hated her for being the light, I couldn't help but care for her, wanting to protect her.

I knew I had to give the school one quick check before declaring her gone. So I told this drama queen that I had to go do my man business and left.

I started by checking every room. She was nowhere to be seen. I let my instinct guide me to the roof where she probably went hiding.

I opened the door and what I saw was scary. She was doubled. One on the ground. The other standing and crying. But which one was she?

Vanessa

I felt so light and then I could feel the weight of my body crushing against my skin as I was lifted up. I could feel the emptiness of this world as crazy as it sound. I could feel the power of the earth. The warmth of the fire. The freeze of the Ice, and the breeze of the wind. All those feelings wound up in a ball of crazy in my insides.

I could feel power running through my veins, this power unknown. It wasn't the first time I felt this, and somehow I couldn't remember when I did.

Who am I?

Who was I?

Who will I be...?
